Hard to tell the spec, but it's sacrilege that they sell the disc version with spider ring with f*cking Aksium's.0

The spec is full Ultegra on a Hi Mod frame, but I couldn't agree more. I really think they kill the bike performance wise, especially considering the retail price for the bike is £4,000. They will be the next thing to be changed for sure0 -

She's not mine yet, but by Friday it will be!

I've treated myself early for my birthday. I'll be swapping out the stem, as I need a slightly longer reach, and have heard bad things about the wheels. What's wrong with them? What sort of wheels are a good value upgrade?0 -

I passed that comment onto Cannondale UK and they're considering. Fulcrum 5 would probably increase the bike by, what, £100? And be a much better long term option. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

52cm Supersix Hi Mod
Dura Ace 9000 - Cannondale Si Chainset with 52/36 spiderings
Zipp 202 Clinchers
Schwalbe One Tyres & Vittoria latex tubes
Sworks Romin Evo Saddle
Cannondale Save Seatpost
Deda Superzero Stem
Deda Superleggero Bars
Cannondale carbon bottle cages
Look Blade Carbon Ti Pedals
6.6kg All in. Such a great bike to ride. Pictures do not do the paint scheme justice. There are subtle bits of chrome on the chainstays and forks and flecks in the black which sparkle in the sun
Couple of updates:
Zipps sold and replaced with Mavic Cosmic Pro Carbon SL. Sram Red Etap group, Zipp Service Course SL Stem. Cut seatpost, replaced stock skewers with planet x lightweight skewers. Just the steerer to cut down if I am happy with a lower position. 6.47kg all in

Thought I'd better join in, hooray for the lowest spec Supersix with those Prime wheels everyone has and some conti gp4000s. Weighs 8kg in size midget, should be easy to trim some more off with a non-dreadful crankset. Maybe bar and stem too? I'm not overly bothered by weight but obviously if I'm upgrading I may as well0 -

New wheels. That saddle has to go. Before the Marmotte, it will get a new mid length cage, the Spider ring, a 32t cassette, new bars and cables. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

50/34 Spiderring arrived today. And a GS mech. Getting them fitted this week. That way I'll only have to change the cassette and chain myself before the mountains.
Thinking of a Fizik R1 Antares to replace that saddle. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Is there anything that steep needing a 32? A 30t may be a nicer gearI'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0 -
It’s not so much steep. It’s just nice to have in that 16000ftMy blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Thinking more on it, yeah, I think 30T might be the right choice. GS mech on. Spider on. Picking bike up tomorrow.
Fizik Aliante R1 going on. So may get a Fizik seatpost to match itMy blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Was thinking on 36 x 28 on my Supersix for the Marmotte. May go 36 x 30 though as the legs will be buckled by the time I get to Alp D’Huez0

After posting the above, I did the Glandon on Fulgaz.
And wished for a 32 (and compact).
Fortunately, it appears the Fulgaz Glandon is from the North side, which is harder. It was awful. I didn't find the Galibier as hard.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

i'm seriously considering single ring upfront with a 40T at the backRule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.0 -

So how does that work then? I take it you have a trainer which applies a resistance based on the gradient but how does it adjust for weight? If I was 100kg id need to put a hell of a lot more power than a 60kg for the same speed uphill.0 -

It adjusts for weight, which you put in. There's a set CDA, a 'middling' bike weight, assumptions on wheel size, and your weight. And it adjusts accordingly. You can even play around to simulate different gear ratios than what you have. I've not done the real hills but I know what 12% feels like. I've also done routes that I have ridden and they feel pretty much the same.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Hope so! Flying that is, not necessarily passing you!
Really looking forward to it. As a heavier rider (80kg) I really love climbing, always have. Hoping to be 75kg by the time I go though.......................My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Not quite finished. Cages need to be black, green is slightly off the main colour. Seatpost to be changed, so looking to see if a Deda will take oval rails. Other than that, we're there. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)
