Finally pickedr her up. 105 version. With discounts, cycle to work and the £100 ish I will get for the stock Mavics/tyres will have set me back £700 so a bargain.

Always wanted a Supersix, but for whatever reason I've ended up buying other brands in the past. Usually deal related. The Matt silver paint job is awesome in real life, think it will be a mare to keep clean though.

Added a few bits from old bike. Fulcrum Quattros. Pro logo kappa saddle (looking for a lime green insert now). Chinese carbon cages. Michelin Pro 4 endurance grey.

Will asses the spacer situation after a few rides but likely to drop down 10mm or so.

Does anyone know the stock stem length on a 58cm?

    Quite!

First impressions are excellent. They are bang on weight (1800g). Tension is even and they're perfectly round etc.

Tyres are an absolute cinch to get on. Brake blocks are excellent (in the dry can't feel any difference to my alu tracks).

Only minus is a very very loud free hub but that's (some) Novatecs for you.

LOL agreed - get a bottle tool pack.

Plus it needs slamming or at least lowering, its about looks not comfort

No. It's about comfort! I'll get the pack sorted mind.

Anybody got a link to buy a new headset top cap for under the stem? My 2015 Evo 105 has a ridiculous 25mm tall top cap. I fancy going a tad lower at the front so need a new top cap and spacers.

Definitely not in my case. Had the headset out for a clean last week.

Doesn't the tall one have to go over the low one? I know the tall one on it's own doesn't work, I've tried it. Seems to be a bit of a dark art to get the headset right on the Super Six...for me anyway!

The big conical spacer sits right on the headset with just a small gasket type ring between.

Strange. Afaik it's usually right under the big cap, but if you say not, then maybe that's not the case.

In any case, Qwerty are usually a great source for 'dale parts, but they're saying out of stock. Same with Westbrook. Triton are showing stock, but ring them and double-check. I had a month plus of the runaround waiting for a Hollowgram crank puller before they finally admitted it wasn't in stock. The official part is number KP253 for the 5mm dust cap. The KP250, for non-Evo Supersix does *not* fit. A generic 46mm dia. spacer works fine, I've one on my CAAD 10. Also maybe try Dave Kane's in Belfast, they usually have odd bits and bobs of spares like that sitting about.

    Ooo clever!!

First full day on my 60mm clinchers yesterday. Can't believe how fast aero wheels are, especially on uphill sections.

Nice. I was looking at those the other day. A bit narrow for me but it does take care of any chainstay issues!

Back on the RS11's due to the Fulcrum Quattro's not surviving their first wet ride and chain reaction taking a month to repair. Urghhhhhh.

I've no idea what they have been up to. They have been truly atrocious. Still haven't received the wheel back for inspection.

That's about normal IME. I have had two rims replaced under warranty and they both took about a month. CRC have to send them to the supplier who have to get the part and rebuild the wheel at the manufactuer's service centre and then send them back. At least that's what I was told.
