New £400 disc wheels?

Those Coside not tubelss ready if that is your bag.
Seems to have less spokes too, so dont know about weight limits.
The do appear to have an offset rim, which could be good.0 -
I'm very happy with mine. I'm doing a review, naturally, though it will be an early days one. We'll see how they last.
For £159 no brainer. Wipes the floor with whatever is out there.
For £308 harder. Better specced than the Cosine overall, tubeless adds value. Spokes may be better (though the Cosine are light so should at least be butted). Nicer hubs, possibly. Better bearings? No idea.
The better comparison might be the Kinesis. Similar weight.
In the end, for me it doesn't matter. I'd say that they are very good. Easily the best at £159. Probably the best at £300.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Any opinion on the Novatec disc alloy wheels
Novatec 30 disc for 345 EUR, does anyone have any information on them.
http://www.eshop.novatecwheels.eu/categ ... sc-qr-135/
Or jetfly disc for 459EUR
http://www.eshop.novatecwheels.eu/categ ... -clincher/0 -
The 30 has no information whatsoever.
The Jetfly has an internal width of 17mm, which is not in keeping with modern trends to go wider than this. Its also not cheap - for that price I would probably go handbuilt by someone in the UK with a good Rep.0 -
Yep. £300, get the Pro Lite. If you don't mind not subtle. If you can get the price matched, definitely get them.
If you can pay £350 or more, get some built. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

road.cc have a review of the Revo today. They seem impressed. I concur with them.

FWIW just got a second pair at the "special" price.......0

I'm also considering upgrading the PR-2 Disc wheelset on my Giant and getting something lighter. But I'm 60kg and outside the UK so can't get the Wiggle price match.
I'm thinking about the Cosines posted a bit further up, but also the Hunt Aero Light, which got a good review in RCUK but are a bit over my budget. Also I could have a set of almost-new (100 miles) Mavic Ksyrium Pro Disc including an Ultegra Cassette for around €500-550 which could be a good deal, but the review suggested them being rather harsh for lighter riders so I'm not sure. Don't have the possibility of test riding them.
Thoughts? I realise getting something built is also an option at that price but probably would end up being heavier than the ones above..?
Thanks0 -
How long did Wiggle to take to come back to people on the price match? I submitted one first thing Thursday and have yet to hear back. I thought I saw a timeframe mentioned of 12-18 hours but could be wrong.0

Did you use the form? You have to use the contact us form now and select all sorts of stuff on there. I did yesterday for some tyres. Took about 3 hoursMy blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

As far as the "Extra" parts go : Did yours come with both through axles or only the rear 12mm TA and just the 15mm hub adapters for the front ?0 -
I'll check. There is 1 axle and some bits in a box. You get a 11spd spacer as well.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

I received no extra parts at all - well ignoring the spacer.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

Scott CR1 SL 12
Cannondale Synapse Adventure 15 & 16 Di2

You were done
Seriously though, in both boxes (i.e. pairs of wheels) I had a nice little plastic box that contained a sealed spacer, a leaflet and this little lot.
I'm guessing that's the 12mm and 15mm adapters? And one axle. The rear? I dunno anything about this thru axle stuff. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Been looking at Shimano xt rt76 brake rotors for these Pro Lite wheels... Are they suitable for a build on a Caad 10 ? Only, the wiggle listing for said rotors says MTB.. Any other road rotor suggestions gratefully received.0
-
I'm using the RT76 on my Bivio. Lovely rotors. And then there's the price. So cheap compared to other high end stuff. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Best not mention to the missus that they're actually nearer to 6 inches than to 8...

I am thinking 180 front, 160 rear.
probably terrible.
You can't choose the size, that is fixed, unless you do use adapters, which might not be idealleft the forum March 20230 -
Well, I know that the standard showroom set up of 160/140 for this bike uses a +20mm adapter on the front. Presumably direct mount would be a tiny 140mm.
Standard rear is direct mount 140mm. I wanted to upgrade the braking a little though.0
