BB - the Anne applebaum article explains the strategy and the slow counts are part of the strategy (as the slow states have some control over how they choose to vote)

Apparently Pennsylvania had 2.6 million mail in ballots.

The whole process seems bonkers, in particular the queueing to vote. Here you could pour a cup of tea, go vote and be back before it got cold.

That's about what I did. Walked in, picked up a ballot, voted, got my sticker and walked out. You got to see what the press wanted you to see.
    Of course you did

I'm curious. What do you call someone who loses to the biggest loser in the world?
    Apart from Donald Trump. obviously.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

  • I guess the good new is that Biden can't do much more than redecorate the White House without the consent of the senate. Kamala said that when she becomes president she will leave the White House white, just paint the trim pink.

Has Bill Barr been seen since his 'rona? His fate is going to be interesting in the months ahead. He kinda nailed his colours to the orange man's mast. Bigly.

I find it most interesting how people (you guys included) seem to love politics and politicians. I recall being around 10 years old (72 now) and watching my parents in front of our B & W TV listening to some politician ramble on. When I commented that I'd like to watch the Three Stooges I usually got some lecture about God and country. Or worse, made to sit and watch in the hope I would develop an interest. Didn't work then, still hasn't worked to this day. I would much rather watch Bullwinkle the Moose say " Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat. Oops, wrong hat." than spend time with a politician lecturing me. Same thing with me as far as religion went. I was forced to go, bored to death, hated it, and still don't go to this day.

Nevada has been called for Biden now too.

Looks like Arizona will hold too.

Not really, I don't particularly like Biden. I mainly just like numbers and stats - and importantly not having an actual clown in charge of the most powerful country on Earth (one of).
  • China is also celebrating the Biden victory.

  • We might know who the president elect is on December 14 if Trump or Biden get 270 electoral votes.

This would be progress. Senate not decided yet though.

Full respect to Stacey Abrams for her good work in re-enfranchising the voter base in Georgia. Get off ya fat erses and vote people.
