Why can’t Trump go back to the White House?
    Cos it’s for Biden.

    *Stolen.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Bye Trump - you total w@nker.
You lying, cheating, tax evading, nepotistic, narcissistic, draft dodging, misogynistic and inept businessman.

F*cked from beyond the grave by McCain.

Those poor, stupid bunch now quivering because Biden '...heralds the era of socialism...' Yeah, I heard that - a black woman bemoaning Biden because she doesn't like socialism and the interviewer asked what aspect of socialism she didn't like and he she hadn't got a frikkin clue.

You like being part of one of the richest nations on the planet, you don't have a health care system and there are 83.5 million Usanians living in poverty but you don't like any aspect of socialism...
So you would rather vote for an orange headcase into office than have a small re-distribution of wealth so that you could lift x million out of poverty than vote for anyone remotely connected with the idea of 'socialism'.
...and having a health care system where you couldn't choose your doctor but at least you would get a doctor is not giving people 'choice'.
    Stupid, stupid w@nkers.

Not that I think Biden could even start to inject a bit of socialism into the US but still.

Probably. We were in Wales somewhere within driving distance of Hereford. They took us to some little museum where the guys who fought the Zulus at Rorke Drift and won all the Victoria's Crosses. Forgot or never knew the name of the base. I remember that they had an old airliner fuselage they used to practice hostage rescue on.

I thought it was Cwrt y Gollen. I would have definitely described their museum as small and I seem to recall from the dim and distant that they had Rorke's Drift memorabilia.

    All long gone, now.

  • None of the outstanding states within recount range, now.
Even Georgia is just shy of 8,000 lead.
It's not so much that Trump won't concede, more he can't.
    Too many fake claims.

538's call was pretty spot on.

    I paraphrase

The don't knows/don't says could break for Trump.
There's just not enough of them

It is the same as here re the Tories. "don't know" means don't want to admit.

Both are parties that emphasise the selfishness in voters. This time around in the US, it also required people to admit they either tolerated or agreed with more than the normal level of bigotry.

Well, it's kinda messy, as Georgia says it will have a recount whatever, and there are still overseas votes to be counted for one or two states, but I think for all intents and purposes, today/tomorrow will see unassailable leads announced. Most of Trump's legal attempts are being swatted down rapidly, so although it still might not be theoretically finalised, the process of transition will begin next week.

It certainly makes the UK electoral process seem like of model of clarity and speed.

...whilst awaiting trial for tax evasion and i'm sure some women might come forward. If the republican party washes their hands of him, hell (as they say), he might even get prosecuted.

Then ther'll be a hangin'. yeehaa.

Now I can sit on a pedestal whilst presenting a sophisticated and coherent critique of the Donald Trump presidency using clever metaphors in a deep and philosophical fashion...

I have no skin in this game as I will again respect the decision of the US electorate but I do find your emotional tantrums funny

If Led by Donkeys were in the US I suspect it would be.
Saw a comment aimed at Raaaaab that he had tweeted that Belarus should respect the democratic process after their election but had been very quiet about Dotard's temper tantrums.

Not that I agree with Raab but you can kinda see why he's done it - even without another term, Trump is still president for a little while yet and winding up the US president is a little bit different to Belarus... Earlier in the process when the outcome was less clear it was even less sensible to do that. Best to keep your mouth shut and wait.

Listened to the FT politics podcast this morning, the commentators there reckon that beyond the immediate Brexit challenge, Boris government has more to gain from a relatively normal Democrat administration than Trump even if, superficially, it might not seem to be the case. Apparently most of Biden's advisors are pretty positively disposed towards the UK, in general.

Added bonus that the UK government will probably have to wind back on the stuff which impacts the GFA, since Democrats obviously absolutely love that.

Trump regularly humiliated May and BoJo.

The disappointment was that BoJo cheesed off the Dems with the ludicrous Internal Market Bill

What is nice is after four years of what felt like a relentless march towards right wing populism across the west we’ve seen them get beaten.
