    Bollox, bollox, bollox.

What a defensive flakey IT you are. My Wilier (made in Italy), adorned with Campagnolo (made in Italy), with Campag wheels (Made in Italy), Cinelli handlebars (made in Italy) and a Selle Italia saddle (made in Italy) looks rather good actually.
I didn't even try to make it look good and coordinated, it was intrinsic :P

I beg to differ. Wilier 2009, prior to shifting east - made in Triestina. Cinelli Criterium handlebars (circa 1987), no, made in Italy. My saddle said on the box: Made In Italy. The rest, probably.

And what's with the stack of spacers under the stem? I didn't realize it was a touring bike.

"What was the blue bottle cage made out of?"

    or

"Where was the blue bottle cage made?"

It was an Elite cage. I have now got a matching red, white and black carbon one.

I have artificial hips. If you were a real, genuine Italian, replete with engineering and creativity skills, you could design a hip and acetabular cup that are more flexible then the current crop.

Anyway, sod orf - the spacers match.

I have already. Twice. But I'm keeping them for me , TDLO and The Hound for when we need them.

    No, Taiwan - FSA.

Right, never mind fudging and deflecting the issue, where's the pics of the brake pads on the calipers?

off the 'phone in my email folder ready to be transferred to the photo thing and posted here tomorrow. Actually didn't notice that I have a smidge more room to move them up as well when final set up time arrives.

Anyhow, never as maybe- Taiwanese carbon. Class in a glass. Glad to see you went for a multi manufacturer line up - spread the joy and wealth.

Did I mention the French pedals or the Scottish mud or the German tyres?

I wasn't going to mention the pedals as I'll let you off on them.

Surely the mud is still owned by Parliament, and therefore governed by England following the failure of the Referendum to free the Scottish people from the shackles? So English mud really.

Enuff of this off topic distraction, can I get some assurance that you will post the pics of the calipers tomorrow?

There's something not right about Dirk but I can't put my finger on it. I think it's the wheels.
I hope you put proper platform pedals and Christophe toe clips and straps on it.

Nah - just used and grubby. I

IfI was using the bike everyday I''d have a sharp intake of breath, but for the 500 miles a year that it's going to be on the road it's fine for decades to come.

Do you now admit that Dirk rocks?

TDV is away in deepest darkest again at the end of the month, so It's going to be moved inside, all stripped, lubed, copper slipped and finely re-assembled before heading off to crush local bankers/dentists in a fit of giggles.

How far do you think we can push this? If I post one picture for each thing I do I reckon we're on a 15er easy - especially if we keep bickering.

    Never mind the 'we'.

    Add:
    Helmets
    Crank arm lengths
    Slick or tread tyres
    Doping allegations

    Then it will be eternal.

How about attacking that caliper bolt with some chrome polish? Then polish up the calipers 'cos they're dull. T47 is an expert in this field.
