I watched the women's but missed the men's. there still appears to be no advantage to running discs so if not providing any advantage in cross I can't see any need on the road.0

I thought he rode pretty well yesterday. He had a shocking start and then fought his way back up to the front and faded in the last 2 or 3 laps. Thought he just had to go too deep to get back up to the front of the race."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

It's over and this is a spoiler.
European Championships: Huijbergen, the Netherlands
1. Lars van der Haar (Ned)
2. Wout van Aert (Bel)
3. Kevin Pauwels (Bel)
I couldn't get a stream but it seems Van Aert in a Belgian Jersey led most of the time with Van der Haar (Ned Jersey) on his wheel. ?Organiser, National Championship 50 mile Time Trial 19720 -

Beautiful example of the extra control that discs give you - https://youtu.be/gKcbuE2vpFI?t=86We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

Yes I take your point. Brilliant display of bike handling by the Italian there. Poor old Harris continually stuffing it into the barrier on that descent. It looked like a real white knuckle ride!0
