  • Childish post. Sky riders go an ride on the Track at Revolution Series'or the like which given that Track is significantly more of a big deal with the GB public makes a lot more sense if you think about it without blinkers on

it wasn't the criticism it seemed (and not childish :) !)- more that these grass root events are part of French cycling culture -

    Fair enough, withdrawn...

I supose the GB equivalnet would be rocking up to the Wiggle sportive though :P

I did a sportive in the Pyrenees a few years ago that Nicolas Portal and Nicolas Jalabert both rode. Also, the Belgian cyclos always pay a former pro or two to turn up and turn their legs over. Museeuw did Gent Wevelgem this year.

  • Harris needed to wise up much earlier with picking the right line on the rutted descent. 3 or 4 times she went right and dropped yards behind the Italian. Nearly clipped the barrier and then the following lap she crashed.

Really thought Harris would have clicked by maybe the second lap that line wasnt working. But she pro I'm no.

Good too see Nys back, Reckon this year will be a belter.
It's not so much about winning, I just hate losing.

The battle for second was a cracker in that race. Nys threw everything at Van Aert, attacked him 4 or 5 times and then the youngster just waited for him to make a mistake and accelerated once.

(highlights on same links by the way - now we re drawing toward the Turbo part of the year (*shudder*) could be a nice bit of work by the UCI to keep these up)

To be fair, Lechner has probably come off a good XCO Season with storming form and probably has the skillz to pay more bills on those sorts of technical sections

    20th October 2015
Dutch cyclocross star Lars van der Haar (Giant Alpecin), fresh off his 2015 Valenburg World Cup win and title defense, continued his winning ways in front of the night party and carnival in Woerden, the Netherlands at the Kiremko Nacht van Woerden evening race.

  • Superprestige at Zonhoven tomorrow... :D

  • Never watched Cross before, but have watched both World Cups this year and really enjoyed it. Some of the technical skills on show are immense, and I can't even imagine how fit these guys are. Top stuff.
  • Don't see it on UCI channel :(
  • The World Cups are on the UCI channel as they are run by the UCI. Superprestige isn't run by the UCI, so it won't be there. Check out Cyclingfans (or maybe Steephill) for links of live coverage and Cyclocrossable on You Tube for highlights.

    Saturday October 24, 2015, Poldercross-Kruibeke, (Belgium) cyclo-cross - C2
Wout Van Aert won a second consecutive Poldercross in Kruibeke on Saturday after winning last year. Michael Vanthourenhout finished second, followed by Laurens Sweeck.
Sven Nys finished seventh after fighting his way back from two early mechanicals.

Sunday 25th October Hansgrohe Superprestige - Zonhoven (C1)
The impressive display of form of Wout Van Aert (Vastgoedservice-Golden Palace) is far from coming to an end. Instead the young Belgian rider crushed his rivals at the feared Zonhoven sand pit on Sunday afternoon during the second round of the Superprestige series. Van Aert literally ran away in the sand

Anything known about the young Dutch 20 year old Cyclocross National/World Champion Mathieu van der Poel.
After his Road Season, Is he on holiday before making a start to his Cyclocross Season, maybe in 2016. ?
Earlier this year he seems to have started late and then won everything.

Van der Poel hopes to return to racing at Koksijde 22 November, but has mentioned he'll probably not be back fully until well after that and will aim mostly for the national and world championships this year (January)

Lack of coverage this year bloooooooooows.

Any way wee Larry won again today, WVA and Nys filling the podium. Hoping for a good showing from Helen Wyman tomorrow and maybe a step up for Harris.

  • Wyman blew up big time the last 2 laps. She was 6th, Harris 3rd.

It's a balmy 18 degrees here too. T shirt weather
