Cross 2015/2016 *Spoilers*

Twisty muddy but mostly flat course with the odd bridge and a small sand pit thrown in
Lead changing rapidly between Sophie and Nicki
Jolien has done her J-Pow impression from first row to 10th place and ends the first lap 19 secs behind. Usual suspects in a line but close behind Harris...
Wyman and Van Passen don't take a bike and move into the lead - Discs rule supreme
Harris on the front from Nicki, Sanne vP, Sophie and SanneC - Cant looking tired, she is ill apparently and really only trying to hold her positions in the relative GCs
Heln drops back a bit, Nicki and Sanne C into 1 & 2 - Sand pit approaching
Jolien is closing on Helen who looks like she's having a shocker. Front 4 not looking like they re powering off but Helen is dropping back
Group
Helen 15
Jolien 19We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

Sanne C is off pursued by Nicki and Sophie. Sophie stuggling to follow, SvP has gone. Jolien overhauls Helen who looks in agony. Really not her day
First time I ve seen Sanne on discs, Sophie and Nicki too...
Sanne away with Nicki close behind but gap slowly growing. Despite my earlier talk this could turn into a classic Cant performance
Sanne into the sand pit an dmust already be 10 secs ahead, Sanne can ride, nicki has to run, De Boer is catching Nicki or Nicki is dropping back
2 to go
Cant
Harris 15
De Boer 17
Van Passen 42
Verschuren 45We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

Sanne away and looking super comfortable
Sophie moves ahead of Nicki. Slight sign of weakness from Sanne but the gap is so big it's fairly unimportant
Cant lapping backmarkers like they re standing still. This course looks like a killer
Sanne into sand pit
Laatse Ronde

Nicki 18
Jolien 40

(helen 1 30 behind now)
Nicki moves back into second but the difference is only psychological
Sanne skips over the hurdles, the race is basically won, Nicki and Sophie exchange places. Jolein is out on her own in 4th. She too has a GC position to defend
Sophie has dropped Nicki off camera somewhere. The Sophie Sufferface is working overtime
Sanne into the sand for the last time and onto the finish straight. A typically strong performance
Sophie will take second at 13s, Nicki behind at 26 looking a bit frustrated. Jolien in 4th at 55
Will await the final standings...We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

Cant 89
Jolien 85
Wyman 77
Harris 76
with one more round in Middelkerke to come, Looks like a Sanne Cant Shutout (apart from the ever elusive big one) could be on the cards this year. Especally as looking at the klassement it's the best 6 results that count (a la sailing) - which currently would be 6 victories and a second place evenif she doesnt turn up next weeks (if that's how it works)We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

The 2 main van der Triplets are away followed by a barrier bunny hopping, shape throwing Tom Meussen
MvdP ahead followed by Wout at about 3 secs on the laatse ronde
Into the sand for MvdP and onto the road straight for victory
MvdP
WvA 16 - looking p1sssed!!

I am heartbroken, may as well just give the WC Jersey to Sanne Cant now and save the money...
That's why I don't make predictions...We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

Crickey! That was a good race. Thought Nys might have it there. Great ride from Wout van Aert!0

The two part Sven Nys movie starts on TV tonight!"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Femke has apparently retired - http://www.hln.be/hln/nl/2884/Wielrenne ... ce=dlvr.it
Wont defend her case.
Which is kinda disappointing to everyone really...We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

Will they release details of the case against her? i.e. was the bike used in the race etc?0

I imagine some form of published memoirs will follow.
TBH I thought cross ended at the WC, that's when I lose interest anyway.0 -
Nah the bunny hop competition is the year highlight. It's not so much about winning, I just hate losing.0
