Alberto Contador is the Greatest

Worse that that. To actually state that he's clean. Has never doped. Despite everything that's happened. Blinkers much?
Especially since FF pretty much accuses Froome and Dumoulin, among others, of doping. They may be, but the two sentiments just smack of a blinkered view of the sport.0 -

Dear Alberto,
Let me explain, in terms that you could accept, why you have won seven Grand Tours not nine.
First up - the 2010 Tour de France. You tested positive for a banned drug. It doesn't matter how it got there - that's a disqualification. if it had happened on stage four you would not have finished the race.
And let's also remember that you only won the 2007 Tour due to a rider leaving early due to a doping infringement. So it's swings and roundabouts - if you think the 2010 Tour was a fair win then the 2007 is at least dubiously earned. (I also believe that Rasmussen helped you gain significant advantage over Evans).
Now the 2011 Giro. Personally I think you should keep that. Because back dated bans are BS. You should were banned for two years and should have been off the bike for two years. That means no 2012 Vuelta. Pick one, not both (personally I like Rodriguez as GT winner better than Scarponi)Twitter: @RichN950 -
Alberto "next question" Contador calling out Sky/Froome for not being open is breathtaking hypocrisy, I couldn't take the Guardian piece seriously after that.0
-
McRae's done a decent interviewer's job with Bert. Provided a platform for Bert to show his character. Which unfortunately is that of a tit.0

Great racer on the road, revisionist hypocrite off it.Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.0

Hope not - this is the first rational conversation we ve had about Bertie in years...We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

I didn't know his brother had cerebal palsy... just adds to all the other misfortune and adversity that he has overcome.0

He was able to fly with the Chicken and yet he really expects the public to believe he raced clean?
He also seems to think he's a better climber than Froome.0 -

He certainly went up Verbier very quickly, great climber!!
Fuentes only had him on the books as he was feeding his dog whilst he was away riding.
To be fair to what Contador said, he can't really say anything else but that. We all know it's not the case though.0 -
Journalists almost to a person have given him the easiest of easy rides when it comes to the tricksy subject of banned-for-life Pepe Marti
Surely someone as open as Bert would have no problem talking about being coached by him, and his thoughts on all that nasty business...0 -
He has been exceptionally unlucky that so many people with whom he's been involved have been banned and/or implicated in major doping.0
-
Still won more GTs than anyone else in his generation. Riders have come and gone but he's stayed in the hunt.
Rasmussen, Schleck, Evans, Froome, Nibali. He's beaten them all in a GT at some point.0 -

And that lovely Scarponi. And Ricco! Cant forget the Cobra.0 -
He has been exceptionally unlucky that so many people with whom he's been involved have been banned and/or implicated in major doping.
CAS didn't allow this as evidence in his case. They also didn't allow the evidence that the farmer in question's brother had a clenbuterol conviction. It works both ways.0 -
Dirty drug cheat. Can't wait to see the back of him.You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.0 -

And poor little Bert's lawyers fought against evidence being presented re plasticizers. So yeah, boo hoo0 -
Looks like it might not be his last season:

So once again, Bertie has been playing fast and loose with the truth.
Who would have thought it?"Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

He'll ride next season for his own team, providing he gets some sponsors on board.
*Probably with a broken shoulder0
