At least we can blame this instead of the departure of Shane Sutton when they win!

It is almost a shame - that team is pretty awesome and I would hate to see a good team's win in Rio overshadowed by technical whinging from also rans.

When do we see the first rumours of a new hour record attempt with the left hand drive asymmetric bike?

They've got to win the gold first.

I dont know much about aerodynamics but reading the comments of those that do then apparently the new Felt in it's most aero set up with double discs has more drag than a Cervelo P4 (or T4 in the track version) with a deep section front. Presumably the UKSI bikes are better than that otherwise they would be riding their sponsors bikes.

the cervelo track bikes are pretty aero, whereas the felt, well that's a gimmick surely. I remember Xavier Disley stating that he would always recommend cfd aero frames over something like a cannondale and he ( like a lot of the tri bikefitters) would always point people toward Cervelo... for some reason.

Don't know what to make of that tbh. Not sure we will see it in use across the board in Rio.
2020 Reilly Spectre - raw titanium
2020 Merida Reacto Disc Ltd - black on black
    2015 CAAD8 105 - very green - stripped to turbo bike
    2018 Planet X Exocet 2 - grey

    The departed:

    2017 Cervelo R3 DI2 - sold
    Boardman CX Team - sold
    Cannondale Synapse - broken
    Cube Streamer - stolen
    Boardman Road Comp - stolen

Looks the mutts nutts. Imagine it'll only be used for pursuiters though. Can't bloody wait until these games, they coincide with my 2 week shutdown at work so have the whole two weeks off.

Right hand drive, that's a bit off trend

That integrated stem/bar thing looks pretty damn good though

Think they have had some serious input from some world class sources. the saddle... and the stem and the chainring... all slightly more aero than the last version.... as I expect is the frame...

Ruined it. Just looks like Ultegra or 105

    Should have stayed silver.

So, it doesn't matter that it could be the greatest thing since quick release skewers or the most reliable ever or the most durable ever or best shifting ever or best value ever? Your only concern is pretty?

I've missed this thread, but stopped posting because of all the complaints of non race items blah blah blah. Think it should get going again.

Given the realife benefits likely to be noticed by any amateur, aesthetic is by far and away the most important thing in any aspect of the bike

I'll buy into that theory. It's not such an odd thing, I guess.

it'll be slightly more efficient I'm sure. I like the look of it and like the upgrade path offered to existing users for the DI2 product set.

    win win for me.

I'm going to hold judgement until I see the new DA on a more colourful bike, but I was hoping for a similar look to the current chainset which is a thing of beauty to me. The power meter integration looks pretty good though.

That Cento 10 is a fine looking bike but I could never ride something with Willier written on the downtube!

That new DA... meh. Looks like Ultegra, has discs.

They just don't make bikes and groupsets like they used to. *sigh*

    New DA here - http://www.bikeradar.com/road/news/arti ... ore-47401/

The most important thing I can think of is that there is finally a proper top of the range racing disc brake so now we really can compare apples with apples

That would have to be a custom job - the standard version has Wilier :-)

And a six grand bike and you get Ultegra groupset?

It's Wilier (pronounced Vill-ee-er) and where else would you suggest the brand put their logo?

One 'l' or two; downtube, toptube, seat-tube, wherever - I wouldn't ride one! Shame, as they do have a couple of nice frames.

I just don't like the name. I don't like the design of the logo either, but even if they fixed that I still wouldn't like the name.

Is that a fixie/ss or did they just not bother with gear cables for the photoshoot? I must admit it seems a strange place to put the cable entry - perhaps it is more aero
