2016 Gear
As pretty much everything posted in the 2015 thread is for the 2016 season it makes sense for a new one to start.....

Have they done anything special about the mounting of the discs etc. to make them more aero? Can't see that they have.0

^ I don't know why they can't do something more elegant about that sensor on the fork - ruins the lines of the bike. like an inset sensor a la duotrap or something0

Long thought that. If you subscribe to marginal gains, think about the lengths some frame builders go to 'aero-ify' tt bike brakes and the like, I am really suprised it hasn't been done already. Battery packs for shifters, cabling, race transponder mounts, race number mounts, power meters etc have all been (and still are in some cases) held on by zip ties and electrical tape. Not very elegant and logic would suggest defeats the point of the wind tunnel testing and 'aeroification' going on with frames.
Surprised to see that disc brakes haven't had the aero treatment yet too. Guess that might happen if/when they are fully integrated into the pro Pelton.0 -

Isn't that Contador's finger thing on the top tube?0 -
Surely that is Contador's 2015 bike? Is FF around to check? It is a number one and looks to have a little blood and gold flag near the seat post0 -
Not sure that'd be a great use of his 30,000th post
He's PMing now so he doesn't have to use his last one!0 -
Some of the most unique bikes at Eurobike every year belong to the guys at Haibike who are never afraid to experiment with new technology or outlandish colors. Their Affair range was certainly drawing some looks with the top model in the range, the Affair 8.80 and its Shimano Di2, disc brakes and Bike Ahed roadRunner Clincher wheels being a very interesting ride indeed…The Scultura Superlite HD boasted a weight of just 4.5kg in M/L size with the frame weighing a mere 690g. To get the weight down to these sort of levels some serious engineering has gone into the design with the wall thickness of the carbon just 0.7mm in places! The frame is built from over 400 pieces of carbon and is completely hand made.

Can a sock be edgy?"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

The Uvex specs are a good reaction to the new Oakley frames from earlier this year.
