Which is the right thing to do, obviously! He put himself in a position where he could get away with it - smart riding. Would've preferred any of the other four to win, but fair play and he seems like a nice bloke.

He also wasn't allergic to the wind... he was in the break. Then split from the break before the others caught him... admittedly then let the others work more but did try some attacks and also chase downs in the final Kms.

In other specs news I saw Jurgen wearing these Flanders Lion edition Lazer Solid State at Gent Wevelgem when I was there and have been digging for a picture.

    I reckon they would sell..

In a big FU to the morality police, Sky now have their own branded caffeine pills

I'd love to see Kimmage's face when he sees that. It'll be like the film Scanners

A highly contraversial article about the new Dura Ace - http://velonews.competitor.com/2016/03/ ... ter_400229

in short, Power meters, Synchroshift, Fully Road orientated discs and frictionless hubs

That article needs pictures! Integrated power meter is interesting though. Syncroshift was a given surely?

Wireless (not really wireless) control box included in the Product Line for road bikes and seemingly confirmed will work will all Di2 as long as you have new battery unit / mount. This wireless box allows phone/tablet/cycling computer to change functionality of all buttons and allows synchroshifting (ie one shifter for both derailleurs)

Not sure when in the shops though

If they have ANY sense they ll make it so that DA and Ultegra play's nicely with the XTR and XT Di2 kit too for CX racers...
We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

Do they not? I'm a bit of a naif in this arena - I had assumed they would; seems a no-brainer. Those XTR rear-derailleurs with cassette upto 11-46 do seem tempting - apart from the large wedge of cash.

Are the brake systems similarly separate? I have a nearly new spare set of XTR callipers that I was hoping could link up with either the Di2 or Mechanical road shifter/hydraulic brake lever

I don't know for sure either way really. XTR Di2 was so insanely expensive that real world/normal people testing is pretty rare. As you say it's a no brainer on a usability level but perhaps less so on a profitability scale...

"In its official presentation unveiling the components, Shimano acknowledged that the Deore XT 8050 Di2 components will work with Ultegra 6870 and Dura-Ace 9070 Di2 e-Tube components, as well as the XTR m9050 components. "

Nah - go for it. Get the Lotto-Soudal top too - it's the best looking kit in the peleton and the best looking bike; and screw the numpties who say that you shouldn't wear team kit. If you can get a size that is right for you team kit is just lovely to wear - if others wanna label me a FTKW then I am quite happy to label them a W; and I will be supremely comfortable.

50 Euro for a top and shorts, 130 for winter and summer kit; Vermarc is comfortable stuff too. And for the larger rider there are some bargains to be had with team kit - 27 euro for a jersey.

i really don't need new jerseys, i really don't need new jerseys, I really ...
