Have ridden many a cross race where the back wheel has actually stopped turning due to mud (Myrtle Park in Bingley was a particularly bad one), with "proper" cross clearances, I'm not fully convinced that that would cut it over here! Saw a piece about it on Facebook though and apparently you get a fair few at the sharp end of races though

    Myrtle park! Brings back memories.

Single chainring, handmade carbon gravel bike. I like it, though that rear wheel looks very close to the seat tube!

The frame looks very similar to his 650b non-sus mtb - and frankly I think it looks more suited to that (in fact the mtb looks fantastic). It is open who claim that their cross bike runs just as well with 650b MTB tyres as 700c cross?

There's no way that would survive the Essex clay. Is it some Californian brand? I remember back in the day some of the US Mountain bikes were useless as they didn't even consider mud clearance!

Minneapolis - I think we (another essex boy here) are closer to a Californian climate than he is.

Here is the MTB - although even photographing in the snow doesn't excuse not putting pedals on the poor thing

Is that supposed to be a mudguard at front?

Very odd. Great looking bike but essentially useless as not fit for purpose unless that is just the photo making it look like it has no clearance. Perhaps Minneapolis is all sand, no mud. Where is our resident geologist when you need him? ;-)

^Is the DD rider there Tekle? His seat looks much lower than Bradley's, I didn't think he was much smaller (Wiki says 2cm). Is it just that Brad has very long legs?

Edit - forget that - it's the much smaller Kudus I think?

    Incredible

That is about as tasteless as it gets
  • It seems like it's a new trend: http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/bradley ... 8-gallery/

Black/gold vs gold/black ... Let the battle of ego's commence.

I'll not even mention the jersey issues.

Although neither fully commited, with Vino having an unmatched seatpost and Wiggins a saddle ... Strangely, both of which are the best bits of either bike.
Life is unfair, kill yourself or get over it.

Those are shorts for people who ride mountain bikes and want the comfort of a bib but are insecure about looking like one of those strange road cycling types..

They'll be drawing on leg hair next so that they can get the aerodynamic edge without having to feel emasculated

THe Alp X shorts a great, but the main advantage of baggies is that they keep the spray off your arse and that you can keep one pait of outer shorts on and swap the inners. These prevent both!

    Oh well, crazy germans

This is my commuting set up.. normal bibs/tights with baggy shorts over the top. Means that I can rotate which bibs I wear while using the same outer ones, this just defeats the object and costs more than the alternative!
