Be that as it may, just blocking anyone and everyone who contends said nonsense is pretty juvenile.
Why does someone who’s apparently religious, utterly obsessive, and anti-equality...
I think listing the word "religious" as a derogatory term is rather "anti-equality" don't you?
Not really. Colour, sexuality, sex etc are born, being religious is just plain stupidity and can be addressed by a little rational thinking in the same way that being a scientologist or a member of the Ku Klux Klan can be.
Shaky ground. So you've got a Muslim work colleague observing Ramadan, for example, but you don't show any respect because his beliefs are, to quote, "just plain stupidity". That's called intolerance, pure and simple.
Are you not the one who believes there's hidden motors in bikes and that basically the whole peloton is doped? Now these are views I would categorise as "just plain stupidity".Giant Trance X 2010

What bothers me, the most, about this whole Witch hunt is the double standards being displayed by the main finger pointers in the media.
One word: Vayer.
One comparison: Thibault Pinot breaking known dopers climbing record on the Rettenbachfurner.
His excuse: Tailwind.
The two respective calculations: Both massaged.
Bottom line: Near identical outputs, both had a tailwind."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
Has anyone got a link to the South African Scientists site who posts on sport science ?
Also, does Anton Vayer (tin foil hatter in chief) have a relevant scientific qualification ?

I live in a heavily muslim area, and as I said, each to his own, but if someone wants to have a conversation about god (of any type) then count me out as I will say it as I see it. What I have said is not anti-muslim, and I'm not quite sure why you have mentioned muslim in fact, as my post was about there being no god, not discriminating between those who believe in their god.0 -

Part of my dissertation focused on triangulating anti-doping testing with the biological passport and power output. LeMond and Vayer are big proponents of this method. Funnily enough when I used it LeMond is pretty much the last definite clean Tour winner. Can't remember if I included anyone past Landis mind you."A cyclist has nothing to lose but his chain"

I do wonder how cretins like Digger et al try and respond to this.Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.0 -
i am beginning to think that Froome's Ventoux 2013 hack/leak (considering the perfectly "normal" numbers) was deliberate from Froome and/or Sky. I think they perhaps thought (wrongly) it would nip "suspicious" speculation in the bud.
Wasn't Digger's response to the hack "motor!!"?
I could not believe when i saw some numpty on twitter - who claimed to have spent 20 years as a coach - saying that Froome's HR data was "rediculously unbelievable."0 -

If you want to understand where the French piss-throwers get their inspiration from: http://www.francetvsport.fr/tour-de-france/l-enquete-de-stade-2-sur-chris-froome-et-les-reponse-de-dave-brailsford-290301
Stade 2, weekly sports magazine on French public television on Sunday, had Pierre Sallet use lots of nice 'scientific' imagery and language to come to 7.04 w/kg for Froome on Pierre St Martin, based on a race weight of 71 kg!, with nice added suggestive images of Armstrong, Ullrich, sombre music, the lot.
The French media onslaught this year is relentless. I've read some suspicions and suggestions in Belgian and Ducth media, but normally weighted against counter-arguments and fairly balanced. The French media seem particularly vitriolic this year. Imagine what it'd be like if Froome would be leading against Pinot or Bardet in 2nd....0 -

And their silence if Pinot was leading....or if someone like Jalabert was seen as an authority figure on who's doping.

I don't know if anyone's mentioned this already, but Christian Prudhomme had some strong words on the whole Pissgate/Suspicion thing:Christian Prudhomme wrote:There's a sort of frustration that many people have had for several days concerning Chris Froome's striking, outstanding victory in the first Pyreanean stage, and the fact that those who were slated as his rivals weren't up to the mark.
This frustration is worsened by the fact that the French riders we were hoping would do something were even further back, and it is then compounded by comments of certain experts or 'pseudo-experts' who ensure that newspapers, radio stations and television are full of doubts and suspicions.
There's obviously a correlation between what is said in newspapers, on the television and radio and what happens along the route. Of course, and it's a former journalist speaking here, what we write or what we say has an influence on the weakest-minded which can then lead to unacceptable behaviour.
I condemn the stigmatisation around the yellow jersey and I condemn above all incidents that have happened over the last few days. We must respect the yellow jersey and say thanks to the supporters, the vast majority, who do respect it.
Fair play. It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0 -

Now to Pallet himself. It's unknown his level of expertise, but he seems not to have the respect of the scientific community. A couple of sports science Professor were mocking him on twitter last night, pointing out that in 2013 he had his expert testimony in a handball match fixing case because the judge decided he had no expertise in the field at all. He seems to be director of something called Athletes fro Transparency, for which he is the only known staff member.

If it was a deliberate leak, the 1000W spike would be a good marker to see if the intended target had taken the bait.0 -
