No point rushing. I'll see how it goes for her free year then try to guess when the next leadership contest muggy happen to join 3 months before the contest. If it's monthly payment I want to pay as little as possible. Afterall the tories are no longer the party I can fully support. I only want to stop BoJo and his ilk.0

Shame you can't do it another way. Perhaps a petition for the right to vote on whether BoJo (or any other politician) is fit for the job. Get enough national signatures there is a national poll on it. If the public votes that they're unfit for public office with. Sufficient margin then they get sacked. I'd definitely vote against BoJo. He's only out for himself. More so than any other politician. It's so obvious it's positively blatant.0

Spare a moment for thick Raab, who clearly can't see that since the Tories got in power, real wages are still below what they were before they arrived in government, nor that real wages obviously rose more quickly in 2015...0 -
Wasn't Raab touted as a strong, potential Brexit candidate for any leadership contest by an ERG politician on radio 4 yesterday?0

How many MPs are actually in the ERG anyway? JRM is and that Bone bloke iirc. Who else?
BTW an ERG guy said last night something about them being just a research group concerned with providing accurate information on Brexit. I can't remember his exact words but it was funny how he said it like he meant it. Fanatics?0 -

I know Esher and Walton is unlikely to elect a Corbynite, but you'd think there would be some internal competition. They have a candidate selection process, don't they? I mean it has to be laziness rather than actual mental impairment: this is below GCSE level maths and geography that he's getting wrong, and he qualified as a solicitor.1985 Mercian King of Mercia - work in progress (Hah! But there is something about political culture that actively discourages its practitioners from behaving, or even talking, intelligently :?0 -

Just one of the consequences of out-of-control identity politics is that all sides now feel that they can play at the game: witness, for example, the rather pathetic "Men's rights" movement.0 -

I do.
Not that he called her a 'stupid woman'
That the leader of the opposition hasn't the basic level of decency to stand up, admit a mistake, apologize and move on but prefers to indulge in an obvious lie while cheered on by his devoted cult is extraordinary.
It's Trumpian.
Also it will lead to more Owen Jones on TV and radio and that's just annoying.“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -

the howls from MPs who have fairly dodgy reps are a bit f@cking much too, I’m sure you’ll agree.
Tories only look even more petty by getting upset. They want if both ways - propose their researcher (or indeed a Lib Dem’s as my friend can attest to) to suck them off and then get upset when the leader of the opposition calls May a stupid women; something that probably isn’t entirely without evidenced merit either.0 -

There is also the broader point that with 100 days to go, arguing about a stupid woman comment smacks of negligence of the much bigger picture.0

To give just one example: more than 1 in 4 construction workers in London are non-UK citizens. In the country as a whole it is 1 in 10, or about 200,000. Average salaries for tradesmen (classed as RQF3 medium skilled and allowed in if earning over £30K, are all under £30K, except electricians, who just scrape over the threshold. Unless we're planning to train up tens of thousands of extra tradesmen in the next couple of years this policy will result in massive labour shortages.
