Anvers = French for Antwerp?
Dat is echt"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Come on goat, that's not even dutch.
a "Ja, precies" would have sufficed too!
You know the Dutch love to say ja wherever possible.0 -

It's in Flanders innit? Good enough for me."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

He has got stronger this year and seemed to be going well in Romandie on those leg sapping stages - how much he can be a 'domestique' though...?? I'd take him0 -
I'm at the finish of the first proper stage (Utrecht to Zeeland)0

I always wonder the same about the Feillus."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

I'm visiting to view stages 8 and 9 in Brittany with a mate. We're on a motorbike rather than cycles unfortunately.
It's my first time - any tips generally? On a motorbike I should be able to pick up at least a couple of different spots of the route to watch the action, at least on the longer stage. I'm not sure about the roads being closed etc though and crowds - how feasible it is to move around? So, what's the best approach to this - watch the start, head straight to the finish, try to follow them along the route (I wonder if I might pass as a support motorcycle...?).
Cheers gents,

no idea on the route those days.
But the race route tends to get locked down a couple of hours in advance due to the Caravan coming through. Get your hands on the race handbook when it comes out (someone usually posts a link). That provides details on timings for the caravan, race etc so useful for planning.
Also, the start/finish are good places to try to get access to the riders, closer look at the bikes, buses etc.0 -

Millar's £272 was only the third highest when last collated in 2012. Richard Desmond recently did break the FT's expenses system at £758...
Was slightly confused when I saw Cav's mug at the top of the FT home page. I didn't know that he'd won spelling competitions at school!0 -

Richie Porte taking it in the bibs for the unfairness of his Giro accommodations. Obviously that 2 min penalty was deemed insufficient punishment. No kennel for Le Dog.Article 2.2.010 has been amended to read: “In all road stage races on the international calendar, the organisers must cover the subsistence expenses of the teams from the night before the start to the final day; riders must stay in the hotels provided by the organiser throughout the entire duration of the race.”
In a press statement, the UCI justified this change, saying, “The decision was made in order to reaffirm absolute fairness between all riders.”

Sky may appeal that to CAS or a similar court. And they'll win. I don't think they have the right to tell someone where they can and can't sleep.
A fiver says that Sky have the motorhome at the Tour.
Was it yourself who pointed out that a fine is just the cost of going on ahead and doing it anyway? The penalty for breaking the updated rule is not listed, though if the UCI’s usual fine structure applies, teams could be fined up to 10,000 Swiss Francs per night. The UCI was not immediately available for comment on a specific penalty.“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0
