Every time I take someone round the 'dam RLD i feel differently about it but I ve never had the urge to go into any of them though. The coffee shops are mostly hideous places to sit so i l usually just buy something and take it home...but that's maybe once a year.We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

I'll be in Annecy from 19th for a week, hoping to make it to watch the Galibier stage. Reserving commitment at this stage as she who must be obeyed will be 6 months pregnant then.

However, I'm thinking of sacking the trip to Paris off. The plan is to go straight from watching the start or pretty early on on Stage 20 then making the trip to Paris. Watch the final stage, spend Monday in Paris before heading to Austria for a week. It means a fair whack of driving (approx 16 hours), whereas if we go straight from the Alps through Italy to Austria it's only about 8 hours driving.0 -
