Tick Tock - Tour de France 2015

The problem with the MPCC is that it is held up as the only way to tackle doping. It is presented by many as a 'your're with or against us' type of deal.
Saying that for a team to be anti-doping it must be part of the MPCC is the same as saying that for a person to be pro-environment they must support Natalie Bennett's Green Party.
But both the MPCC and the Green's are incompetently run and tied down by dogma and a need to claim the moral high ground.
(I've said before that the MPCC is not a movement. Movements do not have members and rules and they seek to empower the disenfranchised. They have contributors. The MPCC is modelled on religion - rules, membership, a sense of greater morality and the enpowerment of management.)Twitter: @RichN950 -

MPCC might as well shut up shop now..... and the Astana fiasco continues.“You may think that; I couldn’t possibly comment!”

Rick are you sad ? Avondetappe is no more.
I can't remember the last Tour I watched without it/"Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
Watched the documentary on Tim Wellens et al I taped off telly on wednesday. All i'll say is I wouldn't be expecting miracles from Wellens the next 3 week, his form looks to have been bad since LBL.
His girlfriend seems a nice lady though.
And how the hell has Sean De Bie managed to get such a nice kitchen at such a young age?!"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

watching the TdF begin really brings it home how these riders are blessed at birth with their talent.
It really isn't fair, i wish i had asthma.0 -

Asthma isn't something that many people are born with. Although it does run in families. My Dad, my brother, sister and some of their off spring have it. As it happens though, I was diagnosed long before my Dad.
It really is far from an advantage to have asthma. For one it can be pretty painful taking a tumble in a race and landing on your inhaler.0 -

Is stage 2 the flattest road stage in Tour history and when was the last time there were no categorised climbs in the opening weekend of a Tour (no doubt Rich will answer both!)? Very different first two days than last year which must have been one of the hilliest ever.0

“I think it’s right [that Boom started] because this morning Brian Cookson came to the hotel and he said that according to the UCI rules he could start,” Nibali said. “I do think we need some way of unifying all of the rules. If the UCI is the primary governing body of cycling, then I think we had to follow their rules.”Contador is the Greatest0

Any chance of a bit of a breeze to liven things up tomorrow?0

It's a fair comment but makes MPCC even more of a farce if teams just quit whenever a rule doesn't suit them. Some teams got a lot of stick for not signing up, this just shows that they probably foresaw the potential issues!0 -

Not often I'm bang on the money.
Personally, I think TV2 will be where he earns his cash this summer, if he isn't just lounging by the pool.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -
So after the blessed relief of Boulting and Millar for the Giro, we're back to the agony of Liggett and Sherwen. Why can't Itv4 summon the courage finally to call time on these clowns?0
