You need to speak to a Customs Broker* quick sharp!

Trouble is all of the UK ones are full to overflowing at the moment

*Or speak to the one you already have....

We have a few more courier companies we deal with so should be okay. Thanks though.

To talk about Inward Processing I mean...

(Not that you should want my help but it won't apply to NI so we haven't looked at it in any detail)

Thank you. As I said to Stevo I'll look into this more when I've normalised the other processes.

We have to pay duty coming into the UK and then when we send to Europe so have doubled up on the duty.

Fortunately, it is not the end of the world for us as we are in low percentage commodity codes. I can see it being a massive problem for some markets though.

As stated previously it is the beaurocracy and carriage charges which is my primary concern.

Understood. I guess you've already looked at whether you can benefit from inward processing relief?
Briefly, but again looks like a fairly hefty chunk of paperwork and recording so I would have to weigh up these against the duty saving. We only pay on average 1.5-2 percent so is a cost we can absorb fortunately.

Is this a process you have experience with? Any thoughts on how to implement it would be massively appreciated.

Atm we're still trying to get to grips with the export processes but as these become a normalised process we will probably look at this again.
I'm afraid not as we don't need it. I just know it exists so thought I'd mention it in case it was any use.

You've lost me? We're an SME trying our best to get all of the new processes in place so we can carry on business as normal as we can.

We're not really in a position to add more unfamiliar processes in atm.

I assume you're taking the p1ss but unsure as to why. Well done though.

No worries. I think a lot of companies are trying to get to grips with the new processes and requirements - overall its going pretty well but there have been a few glitches with carrier capacity, customs capacity (in NL not UK) and a couple of cases of not getting the paperwork on large mixed loads. No more than a days delay in delivery though.

That said we are a multinational and have a dedicated logistics and customs outfit.

fair play but as a relative newcomer he can not be expected to get that level of in joke and obviously took exception to being called a bullshitter so was owed an explanation

Nope. But I preferred TDK. 😉
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

I had to settle for AGFA as they were all I could afford from Woolworths.

These are British Percy Pigs made in Germany, for British M&S stores. It's right they can't go to Ireland.

Another one for the positives. M&S can make them in the UK or NI.
