@J_T_Locke perhaps name the other Sky riders who received passport letters?
Jonthn Tiernan-Locke
@J_T_Locke
@maximus_hoggus There are others....from many teams. Seems a question of resources
JTL made his long awaited return to twitter this evening. Much to the joy of the usual suspects.
I love how a guy who doped to win a pro contract came up with an excuse to rival Tyler's, never admitted anything, showed 0 understanding of the passport in his defence and now is just slinging mud can become a hero to that mob just by saying "yeah. Loads of people get popped by the passport. They just picked on me! I can't tell you who though"
Confirmation bias
It's how he insists that if he had the money he could win his case. I certainly don't buy that excuse.0 -

Were that the case, lawyers would be queuing up to take it on."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Rrrrrrrrright... no wants to sign you mate.
And who are these fans???a comeback that is eagerly awaited by many fans who believe that he was ill-treated by cycling's authorities0 -
"All Tiernan-Locke's biggest successes have come when he had the backing of a supportive team –....."
Isn't this the same bloke who was frustrated at being micro-managed by Sky and wanted to do his own thing? I've heard Sky called many things but not supportive?Trail fun - Transition Bandit
Road - Wilier Izoard Centaur/Cube Agree C62 Disc

It's difficult to conclude he is anything but deluded0

Was about to say about the test thing but you've dealt with it much better.0 -
PLYMOUTH-born professional cyclist Jonathan Tiernan-Locke has indicated he could shun professional cycling teams to mount his comeback from a two-year ban on a solo basis.
I assume his first race is chosen as its local, and he can ride to and from the event .... given his driving ban?2020/2021/2022 Metric Century Challenge Winner0 -
Christ, this man is a fantasist
Jonathan Tiernan-Sloshed, as I've just seen his new monicker0 -
One Pro Cycling confirm on Twitter that no offers or conversations with JTL were made or occurred.2020/2021/2022 Metric Century Challenge Winner0

Just to remove any confusion, like JTL I will also be shunning professional cycling teams next season, refusing to enter into contract negotiations with any of them.0

One if his fans on Facebook said that there is more to the story that has been made public - in which case you have to ask yourself why it's not been made public!
Granted riders like Mick Rogers have been very lucky but if JTL can be banned and not Rogers you have to think that maybe JTL was at it a lot more than Rogers!0 -

Or just at it in the bio passport era."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

The two cases are very, very different though, surely? Rogers was done for clenbuterol after a test at the Tour of Beijing, and there is a history of athletes testing positive in China (and other countries) where clenbuterol is still allowed in livestock. Tiernan-Locke's case was as open and shut a case I've seen on the biological passport, with solid evidence to show blood manipulation and an explanation by him that was so ridiculous that I've yet to meet anyone who believes it.
Referring to some evidence that isn't available to the public is a classic distraction tactic.
I'm glad One Pro Cycling haven't signed him, I think any UK team would do itself untold reputational damage if they took him on given his ongoing protestations of a stitch up despite offering no evidence to support this.0 -
Just read that article. Seems to have been written by someone who knows nothing about pro cycling and it's intended audience is people who know nothing about pro cycling.
Just one question though, does anyone know if JTL ever failed a drugs test? The article didn't make it clear if he had??2020 Reilly Spectre - raw titanium
2020 Merida Reacto Disc Ltd - black on black
2015 CAAD8 105 - very green - stripped to turbo bike
2018 Planet X Exocet 2 - grey
The departed:
2017 Cervelo R3 DI2 - sold
Boardman CX Team - sold
Cannondale Synapse - broken
Cube Streamer - stolen
Boardman Road Comp - stolen0 -

I think the journo for the esteemed Torquay Herald Express was sharing a case of Buckie with Tiernan-Sloshed when he wrote that article0 -

He was successfully prosecuted for a biological passport violation. Which is effectively the same thing as failing as a drugs test.0 -
