JTL wants comeback

With all the support he got from Brian Smith, you'd think a contract with MTN Quebeka is waiting for him.0
-
Any David Millar fans in?And the people bowed and prayed, to the neon god they made.0

I imagine at conti level you could dope all you want as long as you race clean you are unlikely to get caught, which is possibly what he did, then bio passport caught him out. Guess if he gets the the level he was when at Endura his claims of being clean will have more credibility0

not feeling it tbh"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What we're witnessing here is the world's most high profile mid-life crisis" Afx237vi Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:43 pm0

NFTO. Heard it here first.
That won't happen. Before they became a UCI team they offered a place on the old sponsored club to a very good, amateur rider only to try dropping him like a hot potato on finding out he had to take prescribed steroids for a fairly serious medical condition. The rider had gone through the formal process to get approval from BC and everything else that was required to be legitimate but they still didn't want him riding for them.0 -

You say 'try to drop him' - did they succeed? Could probably be challenged on DDA (disability discrimination) grounds.
JTL rather different though. If he was telling the truth I'd be worried about offering a contract to someone who thought 15 pints (or whatever) was good prep for the biggest race of his career. He also thought he knew better than the Sky coaching machine about training.0 -

Did he know better, or just not want to do it? I'm telling you now, I'm certain the Sky coaching machine know more about me than training, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to do what they say for trainingIt's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0 -
Is it possible (i.e practical) to make dopers returning from a ban maintain a biological passport regardless of what pro level they are racing at?0

More nonsense from him;
http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/tiernan-locke-launches-another-attack-on-the-uci-and-the-biological-passport
The same tired old arguments, still no attempt to credibly explain his blood values. Let's hope no-one is desperate enough to offer him a route back into the sport.0 -
Always enjoyed watching him, cycling seems to make better viewing when the riders are juiced.0

Why doesn't he sue them then? If his case is so watertight, there'll be lawyers queuing up to take it on the basis they'll get paid from his payout.
Less chat, more hat young man."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

I might be in the minority on this, but once he's done the punishment set out then he should be free to do what he likes.0

Be a bit odd to show remorse for something you deny doing.[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0

I think he misguidedly believes that the standard of proof applied to this matter in a Court of Law would be "beyond all reasonable doubt" when in fact it would be "on the balance of probability"
How many people believe on the balance of probability that JTL is innocent?0 -

I want him to admit any wrong doing first then .0 -

Me.
I have to ask why"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"
@gietvangent0 -
thing with JTL is that nobody was surprised when it was announced because his performances were THAT good when with Endura, then doing nothing once with sky only compounded it, I feel sorry for him if he is innocent but judging by the history of the sport he probably isn't, if he is then when he makes his comeback he shouldn't have any issues getting the form back0

That's the thing.
JTL was fantastic to watch and I was gutted when he was busted: but if he did it clean, about the only way he could go about persuading more fans of that is to submit himself for the most stringent independent testing (paid for by his new team?) and resume performing like he did.0 -
How many people believe on the balance of probability that JTL is innocent?
I think he's innocent in the sense of 'not having a clue how the world actually works', if that helps?0 -
I dream of being 80kg
So do I but I always wake up hungry and have a sandwich so it will never come true.
PS I am 12 ft tall so it's fine0 -
The fact that Roman Kreuizinger got off should show just how hard JTL was hitting the gear to trip the passport and get done for it.0

I love how a guy who doped to win a pro contract came up with an excuse to rival Tyler's, never admitted anything, showed 0 understanding of the passport in his defence and now is just slinging mud can become a hero to that mob just by saying "yeah. Loads of people get popped by the passport. They just picked on me! I can't tell you who though"
Confirmation bias"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"
