Cav has never had anything but fantastic things to say about his years of being coached by Rod Ellingworth.
Ramp tests, now. He 'ates them.
But Rod as a coach and mentor...nowt but appreciation. So much so that he tried to get Ellingworth to move with him to Quickstep in 20130 -
Roger Hammond is Team DD's new Sports Director... in return Cavendish is going to give the folks at Madison Genesis some coaching...
Is there no a clash of interests here? DS for two teams, even if not in the same "league" doesn't seem appropriate.0 -

Possibly is different. Surely Madison and mtn/dd are different organisations, management structures and not linked. Thought it had been proven that Sky/TeamGB are different organisations. As for Wiggins...0

Katusha appear to be attempting to transfer out of Russia...0

The only people who don't 'ate ramp tests are people who haven't done ramp tests.0 -
Trek-Segafredo talking to his Nibs confirmed, looking to sign for 2017 season0

Dynamo Cover (formerly We are Wales) is shaping up to be a nice project too. 3 more signings to be announced.
It's all gone a bit Pete Tong for this team... Sponsorship (by a former Apprentice contestant) is off for 2016... all a bit opaque. Serious shame for the riders who thought they had a contract for next season.0 -
Mad Oleg is transferring out of cycling, to take his managerial skills to environment more appreciative of his genius. Or something.0

It does seem a bit "You won't do as you're told so I'm off""In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Giuseppe Martinelli has left his role as Astana team manager, to be replaced by Dimitry Fofonov. This will have implications for the rather complex politics of that team and their future direction.
(PS Doping fans: Although Fofonov tested positive as a rider as recently as 2008, I must remind you that Astana have never made a virtue of being clean, unlike other teams, so there is no need to mention this).Twitter: @RichN950 -

Imagine being able to replace Martinelli with someone even worse. Vinos commitment to doing the wrong thing in every situation continues to impress me"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

I think it's a shame.
Tinkoff was good value, and it's always fun to have big characters that everyone hates.
He gives some much needed needle (pun not intended, so don't make the obvious joke) and character in an otherwise fairly dull peloton.
And his money will be missed....0 -

Is he not still on the hook for Sagan's 4 Mil in 2017?
Bwah ha ha"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Everyone needs a villain.
Star Wars would be (more) boring without Vader.0 -
I find your lack of faith disturbing."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Faith in what?
That people can work out Tinkoff is a wally but one that adds some colour to what is ultimately entertainment?0 -
So what you're saying is that hokey religions and ancient myths are no match for a good blaster at your side?"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Well, you could take the tale of luke skywalker to be an allegory of the path to Jihad terrorism, but that's best discussed elsewhere.0

Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.0

Brett Lancaster of Orica has retired and joined Sky as a DS.

Judging from interviews with Martin on cycling podcast and Lefevre, looks like that he'll go after GC after the Ardenne. Now training in Andorra all the time - more climbing...0
