    Update on IRC roadlites...

These are nice tyres, once I was able to get them blown up! After fitting there was some air leakage around the valve but screwing it in a bit more almost stopped the leak and then completely sealed once sealant was added (30ml). I had them pumped up hard (110psi) just in case of a leak, I think 95/90 will be better.

The first thing I noticed was that I thought the tyre had lost pressure, there was a very "pneumatic" feel to these tyres with plenty of resilience. Quite similar to a tubular tyre (Vitoria Corsa CX), plenty of grip they certainly felt sure footed leaning into a fast corner.

Only 76 miles done but I prefer these to the Schwalbes ones. £40 each at the Cycle Clinic isn't cheap but then tubulars aren't cheap either. Lets hope they hold up as Ugo and others have said.

With regards to the title of the thread - is there anywhere that sells any 25mm tubeless tyres for under £50 a pop at the moment? They are very well hidden if so... Or are they?? Cheers!

Nice one, Intensives a little industrial for summer use maybe so I've thrown more money (away??) at the Schwalbe Ones because although they are fragile, they are nice!!

First actual dead at the side of the road puncture since going tubeless last night. Tubed up and limped home. A squeeze of fresh sealant and they're right as rain again, but closer inspection revealed a multitude of holes before this one. If Malcolm Cycleclinic sees this, any idea when/if you'll have Roadlite 25mm back in? Fancy a change from Schwalbe, but I reckon the nicer IRC's wouldn't last a crack round here.

By all accounts, the IRC roadlites are far tougher than the Schwalbe Ones and cut up less.

I meant the Formula Light and Formula RBC. It's granite chipseal everywhere here, at best, so tyres get killed rapidly.

Has anyone had problems with spoke tension dropping massively when running tubeless?

I have some DT Swiss RC28 DB C wheels, from 2 years ago so they are not the tubeless ready rims like the new ones are.
I am running a Bontrager R2 TLR 25mm on the rear. With the tyre off, the spoke tension is near the top limit for the wheels (using a Park tension meter). With the tyre on, there is a big drop in tension. This can be noticed when riding, on very steep gradients, there is a clicking noise coming from the wheel under high load.

It is annoying, but also worrying. I'm going to need new tyres soon, so am looking at some Pro One Tubeless 28's, or giving up on tubeless on these rims and going back to tubes.

Tension drops, marginally more than when you fit a tubed clincher in SOME rims. I used to build tubeless rims at slightly higher tension to compensate for that, but I was awesome, everybody knows that... 8)

Can anyone advise on whether it is possible and adviable to set up Campagnolo Zonda (standard, not 2 way fit) as tubeless? I'm thinking about this for racing.

My thinking being that a puncture might not be an end of race scenario. I don't have time to race very often, so just dreading the day when my race day is scuppered.

Yes you can. I've done it in the past. In my 2008 Zonda's was a tiny hole in the rim bed and outer wall (probably to let moisture space from inside), so you still need to close that hole (e.g. with yellow tape).

My pro ones are now despatched, have received the confirmation email,so one happy bunny here.

I have had a pair of 2016 two way fit Zondas waiting here for the tyres and according to other posts should work fine (no rim tape needed).I can't find any small holes in either of the rims.

I normally run GP4000s on these rims so it will be an excellent comparison. The 25c continentals normally come up to just under 27mm at 95psi so I am hoping the pro ones will do the same.

You certainly don't need tape on the Zondas/Racing 3s, It ll be easy to fit them.

Of course you won't find small holes in 2-way-fit Campa's. Alex99 mentioned normal Zonda's, so there's the difference.

I'm just going tubeless myself - if I need to do this ^^ do I need to carry co2 to be able to get the tyre back onto the bead properly when fitted with a tube or can I just use a pump to infalte it when fitted with a tube?

If you've got a tube under the tyre, it will push the tyre onto the bead so just use a pump.

Blink and you'll miss em!! I got mine from Acycles but would probably order some more (they're cheaper at merlin) to have them "in stock" for when they've worn out (after 500km if the cynics are to be believed) ;-)

Slightly off topic but I'm looking at alternatives to the Schwalbe one pro as a reasonably fast road tyre. The IRC Roadlites look reasonable, however I've come across references to Specialized S works turbo tubeless tyres but never seen them on sale. Anyone seen any on sale anywhere that will deliver to the UK?
