If that suggests everything happened yesterday (Wednesday), could I hope for delivery tomorrow? Oh, I wish!
There doesn't seem to be a UK tracking number for when Parcelforce receive/dispatch it.There's no such thing as too old.0 -
use the tracking number for DHL in the Parcel Force tracker, worked for me.Road: Rose CDX-3000 Cannondale CAADX 105 2011

Thanks for that. Tried it already. All it did was repeat the latest from DHL. Can only assume no change in the status.
Not here today, so Monday or laterThere's no such thing as too old.0 -
Nice. What spec/colour?[/quote]
Colour is shiny red/white/black.
Spec as it comes apart from changing tyres to 25mm and the saddle and handlebar tape to matt black.
Went for Ultegra 50/34 - 11/28 ( i like climbing).
Took me a long while to decide, was gonna go for the Xeon but managed to persuade the Mrs to up the budget slightly!
Ordered it on 7th May.0 -

I went for exactly the same.
However, in my case I was going for a cheaper model and my wife persuaded me to splash a little more cash on an x-lite.0 -
Had an email this morning saying bike has shipped. A week earlier than originally expected.0

Mine seems to have jumped the "assembly" stage.. Unless this is normal?
Its gone from "Order is being processed" to "The goods are currently prepared for shipping." whats odd is this would be 4 weeks early?
shipping status: preparation for shipment
expected delivery date: in approx. 4 weeks0 -

Quick update:
Parcelforce status says 'Awaiting Customs clearance'. Their FAQ says:
Tracking description - waiting customs clearance
All countries need to control the import and export of goods where this involves them coming in from or being delivered outside of the EU. Where the value of these goods is above the minimum value for commercial items or gifts for the destination country they have to be inspected by that country’s Customs Authority. Your parcel has been identified as being in this category and has been passed to UK Border Force (for UK import items) or the destination country’s Customs Authority to be evaluated for any import duties or taxes that may be applicable. Once this is done, your item will be handed back to us for delivery in the UK or our delivery partner overseas for onwards delivery, although there may be charges to be paid before this can be done.
Since when has Germany been outside the EU?
On calling them, no real explanation other than 'it could be another 2 or 3 weeks but check again in 2 days'
In other words 'We haven't got a clue'
This is ridiculous for a service described as 'Express24'
I am getting seriously pissed off at the whole process. Rose have not demonstrated any signs of so-called German efficiency. There's no such thing as too old.0 -
when my bike languished i politely emailed Parcel Force asking if there were any problems; hey presto, within 24 hours it was on its way. Not really Rose's fault although I am curious as to why Rose don't use the GB DHL to complete the delivery...Road: Rose CDX-3000 Cannondale CAADX 105 2011

I'll give it a go. The only way of contacting, as far as I can see, is from the 'Contact us' page on their website so I've filled in their contacts form. Let's see what happens.
I'm surprised that they don't chuck them in the back of a van and drive them over to their UK base in Westbury. I'm sure they get enough UK orders to make it worthwhile. There's no such thing as too old.0 -
could the strikes at Calais be affecting delivery? it's certainly affecting mine coming frm Wiggle UK to Germany.0

Unlikely.
My understanding is that Parcelforce's international distribution hub/customs is in Coventry and DHL will fly their freight over daily. There's no such thing as too old.0 -

You should email Finlay Paton( fin@rosebikes.co.uk ) Roses's UK rep with pics of the damaged packaging if you still have it. Did Parcel Force comment on their tracking that the box was damaged when they collected it? Mine was damaged also but they didn't specify that the box was damaged so they must have done it. Luckily no damage to bike despite three holes right through the box; in one side & out the other. The box was the wrong way up when I looked in the van also; they obviously don't train their staff properly.Road: Rose CDX-3000 Cannondale CAADX 105 2011

Already emailed Finlay, who is going to check into it.
Parcelforce tracking made no mention of damage whatsoever. The box has obvious signs of water damage at one end only. Abysmal service from Parcelforce! I don't think they train their staff at all, let alone properly.
Bike looks OK. Feels heavier than expected, based upon indicated weight but not critical. It's the ride quality that counts. Will have to wait until later in the week for that. There's no such thing as too old.0 -

Did you weigh it?0 -
I think it is worth us emailing either Fin or Rose as ParcelForce are useless mine has been sat at "KOLN IFS Forwarded for export" since Friday 3/07/2015 Ive called a few times just to try and get a "day" of delivery to ensure someone is available.
Apparently its impossible to get this information, Ive had a few deliveries from Rose in the past always delivered by DHL which have been brilliant, with updates along the way0 -

The DHL site (and Finlay at Rose) have apparently been on strike, which will have delayed shipments.
The latest update from their website suggests this may now be resolved:After intensive negotiations, an extensive collective agreements between Deutsche Post AG and the service trade union ver.di was decided. "We could agree a total package that offers our employees security and perspective, and at the same time future growth," said Deutsche Post DHL Group Melanie Kreis, Group Board Member for personnel and industrial relations director: "Both sides are to each other have gone a big step and have found a good compromise."There's no such thing as too old.0
