Enough of the cheese talk - 10 minutes to the start and letour.fr ticker is already bigging up the only remaining jersey battles with any chance of changing - Bardet/Pinot for the white, and Purito/Voeckler for the climbers jersey.

Purito talking about getting in the break.

On the subject of local specialities, the kebab shops of Grenoble all seem to offer something I've not seen elsewhere - "Taco Kebab". A sort of cross between a panini and a kebab, in a square-ish brick thing. Like this:

    That looks worryingly delicious.

First attacks are going - but letour are saying that it's all back together except for Kittel who's crashed and Vichot who's been dropped (already?)

The orange mats in Istanbul are made of stalk feathers washed under white water.

    <>! &

    Quite.

The green man walks backwards over the bridge to the field of rabbits.

Unless that is a rabbit disguised as a desert fox I DON'T CARE

Break of six with 20 seconds:
Giovanni Visconti (Movistar), Alessandro De Marchi (Cannondale), Blel Kadri (AG2R), Tom Dumoulin (Giant), Kristjan Durasek (Lampre) and Daniel Oss (BMC)

I don't see the yellow jersey as a foregone conclusion yet. Nibali is favourite, but the race has not gone over 1500m yet or any HC climbs. I think Nibali has been great so far, but you can't rely on brain, tactics and bike-handling when the big mountains arrive. At the finish today we will see if he has any challengers.

Among the riders dropped by the bunch: Simon (Cofidis), Ji (Giant), Démare (FDJ), Bauer (Garmin).
An early start on the LR action!

    Is this cake stop?

Sounds like it would have been a great stage to see televised from the start. 2 main attacks - this lot ahead:

Bartosz Huzarski (NetApp) and Brice Feillu (Bretagne) rejoin Giovanni Visconti (Movistar), Alessandro De Marchi (Cannondale), Blel Kadri (AG2R), Kristjan Durasek (Lampre) and Daniel Oss (BMC) at the front.).

    Ji CHeng - I'm afraid he's dropped.

Was the criminal taking unnecessary risks?

I should re-quote what he said about Contador.

Anyone dropped on this cat 4 will make it back to the bunch without much effort. Getting dropped on a cat 4 is embarrassing though.

Think they're just going over the top now. VdB apparently back in the bunch.

Argh I wish ITV started screening before 2pm.

Although I should probably do some actual work beforehand.

Which Joffrey found out too late.

No. Break reeled in then an attack from a non GC rider wins on the final climb. Minor GC skirmishes but things stay as they were.
