Yeah I think he was going 80 km/h and hit something, a hole or an object. Total bad fortune.Contador is the Greatest0 -

Contador's second bike WAS broken because it had fallen off the Tinkoff team car early in stage, BUT he never used it.0 -

He hasn't though has he, they pulled out injured. If he dropped them on the climbs and rode away then fair play, but he hasn't.
If all you judge winning on is climbs then organise a series of hill climbs. It is a tour though isn't it. Contador couldn't ride the cobbles or bad road surfaces, Froomster can't ride in a bunch.
This runs the risk of getting as boring as the armchair scientists measuring climb times on their Swatch watches.Correlation is not causation.0 -
Sagan pulling a no-handed wheely. He's such a t1t, in a good way.0

Update on Contador's crash.
It looks like all the nonsense about broken bikes having falling off cars and so forth was just panic damage management. French TV has just shown a clip where Contador's bike, which was indeed broken in half, was being rapidly stuffed into the back of a team car by a mechanic (in two halves if fitted nicely...) and put out of sight faster than Niabli attacked!"an original thinker… the intellectual heir of Galileo and Einstein… suspicious of orthodoxy - any orthodoxy… He relishes all forms of ontological argument": jane90.0 -
NBC just reported that Alberto Contador has a broken tibia and will need surgery. Damn, tough loss.0

Most importantly has CHENG crossed the line yet?Correlation is not causation.0

If so, then that video will go viral anyway.0 -

Fuglsang: "Contador took a lot of risks on a descent that had bad tarmac and was wet. He was riding 10-15 km/h faster than me"
WTF does Contador need to take risks 100km out :roll:Contador is the Greatest0 -

Perhaps the 'bad tarmac' he was referring to was Contador's Specialized tarmac."an original thinker… the intellectual heir of Galileo and Einstein… suspicious of orthodoxy - any orthodoxy… He relishes all forms of ontological argument": jane90.0 -
The point about the bad road seems to be shared as someone else mentioned he went into a pothole, but someone else says he wasn't going too fast (Horner?)0

Cheng makes the cut!!!!
He came in 32'29" down, beating Simon Yates by 10 seconds.
I've said it before and I'll say it again -
