If Rolland attacks early again today I might have to start outright liking him rather than offering him begrudging respect

Maglia Rosa group is already looking really small. What's the time limit percentage today? I can see a lot missing the cut.

It's all set up nicely for a Pozzo attack, but

Tinkoff and Movistar are well represented as are Astana. BMC not really.

Does anyone care about rider safety or is it all about the entertainment value? :-\

Pretty much the strongest looking team train we've see on any climbs so far this race. Movistar didn't really show much all race so far but maybe they've been saving their energy for this last week? Then again I don't think they've really been pushing the pace that hard or anything.

Geniez according to Rai is only 30secs back now.

    LOVE the Stelvio's curves.

The bit the leaders just went up looks a lot steeper than I thought the Stelvio was.

Some riders pedaling squares at the back of the peloton.

Most of it is steady but there are a couple of nasty ramps... just before the start of the curves kicks up sharply...

Surprised how little leeway the break has been given, is there anyone in there who is a danger?

I just think neither the break nor the peloton are pushing it too much. If they were, Swift wouldn't be there.

Think Kiserlovski is in there and isn't that far back on GC.

Kiserlovski is 9th. But apart from that, no.

Rolland's teammate now stringing it out. Majka well protected. Geniez goes straight to the front.

Europcar (presumably Rolland) on the attack but followed by the whole Movistar and Tinkoff squads.

It has to be time that the UCI insists that teams either have wet weather gear in team colours (with numbers attached) or they have to wear something transparent over their normal kit. It's a farce when you can't even identify the team of some riders in a group shot.
