Chalapud has just reached the foot of the descent off the Gavia and is swinging his arms around trying to get blood and warmth back into them.

    Rosa Chala, Pantano
Dupont, Niemiec, Cataldo, Landa Kiser all off the front

Evans and Pozzo I know not.

Seems that Evans and Pozzo are indeed ahead. A Pozzo attack on a descent, and we bloody missed it.

Shamefull decision of rcs to ride this stage. Even more knowing there is an alternative route, over less high mountains! #Giro2014

I feel a little bit sorry for the organisers here, they probably feel under a lot of pressure to run the stage following last year. Maybe the answer (unthinkable, I know) is to not schedule the Gavia and Stelvio in the race at all...

I'm really torn, it's amazing stuff but so hard on the riders.
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.

Not confirmed yet but we think that Evans and Pozzovivo are currently a minute down on the Uran group.

On days like this, the old numbers on bikes system seems a little antiquated. But sort of fun too.

Ag2r have a rider in the front and one in first chase group, with Pozzo somewhere between.
    Interesting.

I'm watching a stream and I have literally no idea where everyone is.

Guaranteed that 20+ riders won't start tomorrow including some of the big names.
