I suspect he got a hefty pay increase.

I bloody hope so - he's been exceptional lately, not only with his win but also the way he's worked hard to tow Kwaitowski up the hill

Damn not something I would expect given his lack of form this year. Was muted before I think though.

Omega Pharma-QuickStep is set to reveals its plans for the future of the team at a special "Mussels Party" on the Tour de France rest day.

The second rest day is usually a day of recovery before the final mountain stages but for Omega Pharma-QuickStep, it is expected to be an important day in the team's long-term future.

The Belgian squad has invited the media and fans to its official OPQS Fan Park in Lastours au Belvedaire near Carcassone, where they will reveal "good and important news regarding the future". The venue can hold up to 250 fans, with places only available on the day.

Mark Cavendish will be at the event, despite injuring his shoulder at the end of stage 1 in Harrogate, along with all the riders competing at the Tour de France, plus the team's staff and management.

I hope the OPQS news is that they're signing Cancellara Vanmarcke and Geraint Thomas in order to GUARANTEE wins in the Classics next year

Apparently Sepulveda has been approached by Cannondale. Not sure how this works with them and Garmin merging.

Would love to see more of this clearly talented Argentinian.

Cervelo to supply MTN-Qhubeka in 2015. Sounds like Vroomen to be involved in the 'partnership'...

Rumours of Barguil to Astana. That would upset me more than him ending up at Sky.

What do people think of Rolland? Another rider who could potentially go to a bigger team. Does pretty well considering he is in a small team with little support.

I am still waiting for Konig to get snapped up.

I get the sense that Knees is out in the cold so wouldn't be suprised if he was off, while (I think it was) SDB raved about Zandio and how important he was to the team.

Nope, I mean he's going to leave his current team and join a new one.

I'd agree with the above with one caveat that if Wiggins doesn't take a hefty pay cut then let him go. He'll be riding with the sky logo in the velodrome anyway.

I am still waiting for Konig to get snapped up.

His contract ends this year, and his agent “is talking to four ProTour teams,” König told idnez.cz. “He is making it clear that I don’t mind sometimes working as a top domestique for a Roman Kreuziger or Richie Porte, but would also want to be leader in several races.”

Surely he means like Kreuziger and Porte, not for them

Knees for Team Bora would make sense.

French paper reporting that Barguil will be staying with Giant for 2015.

If true, this raises two questions. Will he be riding the Tour? And have Giant secured sponsorship for another year?

Brendan Canty is a stagiaire at Drapac. Never heard of him before and not a great team but he sounds like he could be one to watch:
