I don't think you should mount Bob even if he is a limited edition. Not unless you want to have your sexual antics in the 1970's investigated.

I spent most of November 2014 in a morphine haze, courtesy of the NHS, so I probably didn't see it.....................

    Indeed it does,

BUT I think I have to give it to Laurentian as he gave the answer here.....

... in the form of a clever hint. I left it for a while for him to tell us the answer, but he didn't.

And this shows you a bit more.......

Hope that works . . . and no cheating as its very easy to see this online with a couple of clicks! I chose this because there was one one behind the bar of my local years ago and we all spent hours, weeks and years trying to work out what it was until I came across the answer completely by accident.

Is the bit sticking out the bottom a blade? Also is it fixed or does it move?

Fortunately, I still do, because Laurentian's pic seems to have gone :? (If it's just me that can't see it, my apologies).

So I've taken the initiative and a also a photo, and this is the object that Laurentian posted above...

Judging by the wear marks, the cone-shaped piece is put in a hole and turned. So the blade carves a taper/ trims excess material around the hole?
