I think they only had 2 teams using cameras on 2-3 riders each day, and the riders had to turn them on/off during the stage because they don't have the battery life to record all the time. Why not gyroscopic cameras? Weight, costs or mounting? It's not half dizzying watching them during a sprint.0

The final OGE backstage pass has some good onboard footage from the Champs Elysees. I liked the tunnel shot at ~8:08, you normally never get to see that part on TV.
Also worth watching for Christian Meier going around doing mini-interviews with other riders.

Best example of these I've seen was atually the edited highlights from the wheel of Jeremy Roy at - I think - the Tour de POitou Charentes.
