Machado really should be racing for a better team. Hope he gets a break next year.

    Huge determination from Louis M.

Fortune favours the brave. Great work. Moves to 5th from 13th.

    GC - 1 Evans 2 Pozzovivo +50 3 Niemiec +1:01 4 Duarte +1:01 & 5 Meintjes +1:06

Not sure why Merhawi Kudus wasn't racing this and was racing Fleche. We need to see that boy in action. They had Tekle here but he got pumped and is down about 30mins on GC.

Good work by MTN, Janse van Rensburg in the break and Meintjes at the finish. They should have a solid and attractive team for the Vuelta. How much better than Bretagne Seche for the TdF...

Some good results for young riders - Landa, Meintjes and Aru.

Perhaps a bit of a breakthrough for Landa who has disappointed a bit in the past given the terms in which he is spoken about. Good win.

Looks like Aru is building well for the Giro.

Aru lost out to Meintjes for the white jersey, though, because he didn't keep up with Evans in the last few metres (when he probably could have).
Wiggins came in 11th at 1-04. In the GC best Sky was Siutsou, 16th at 5-42.

Pity Landa got off to such a bad start, in the TTT getting dropped by his own team and thus losing 1-13 compared to his teammates.

Pfft. By this measure they're a victim of their own success. No real leaders at this race. A team of domestiques. It's not really worth making the observation.

It's a bit like asking why your glass of water doesn't taste remarkably interesting.

Good win for Evans. I think Sky, Wiggins was working on his support duties for Froome at the tour. Yesterday he hit that climb hard. Not seen todays race.
