So a day when Frenchie continues to make a t!t of himself with his irrational hatred of Sky boiling over capped by a win for a rider he hates. :D

Sky are far from perfect, but why does Frenchie have to continually spout lies and rubbish about them, whilst pretending he is the guardian of exciting racing. He isn't and clearly hasn't a clue about the history of this or any other sport. Most races can be made to appear exciting if only brief highlights are shown - I'm sure there were many days of boring racing back in the 50s & 60s too.

For the benefit of the forum and to stop yourself from appearing a complete tool, please Frenchie keep your Sky hatred to yourself.

Only if he contests sprint finishes. Which he won't.

Well why not Rich? They ll be leading out Cav after all (presumably) so why not let him sit on Sagan's wheel and see if he can nick a few higher placings. It's not like he ll be needed in the last few kms if they have Tony Martin, Renshaw and Pettachi too.

Think of it as comic relief.

You do know he isn't being entirely serious....well....not all the time

He can try. But getting up there in the first place is hard enough, especially at the Tour. Then add in that's he's not really that good a sprinter. Sure he looks good in race with few sprinters, but at the Tour he may scrap few top tens at best. Has he ever even won one?

  • Yup, should be an interesting stage.

I just read today that Rolland is going to lead Europcar at the Giro so I'll keep half an eye out to see if he looks close to anything resembling form.

Rolland has been up and down so far this year. Still looking for that flash in a pan TdF form he had...

Oliveira, King, Dyachenko, Marino and LL Sanchez have 30secs.

Damn where is the coverage when you need it.

Peloton split in two with the second half full of Sky riders.

    4 categorised climbs to go.

Leaders caught. Nieve and Trofimov caught out.

35secs. Movistar driving the split with all they can for their leader.

Nieve in that front group - not sure if he bridged or was in there originally.

    45secs, driven by Belkin behind.

    67ks, Roy joined by Dumoulin.

  • Well hey I said I'd keep half an eye on Rolland and he's up there.

Quite a few potentially dangerous riders in the group now. Coverage pls.

Confusing reports but suggestions that it is Roy with Dumoulin and Durasek

Rolland, Spilak, Bakelants and others went hard but Tinkoff have now caught them.

Looks like Contador only has Paulinho and Kreuziger left trying to peg this.

Its Dumoulin, Durasek (Lampre), Gastauer (AG2R) and Sicard. 53ks

Risk off. Would have loved to seen visuals to see what really happened in the last 30ks.

Herrada is 11 secs off those guys.

  • Visuals. How lovely. Just in time for it to have all settled down again it seems.
