Poor old Slagter. Going for the win. Ag2r road block, ships a chain, loses 94".

    Very surprised by Nibali today.
Clearly, he was trying, given those downhill attacks, but
to get blown out the back so easily, early on the Fayence finishing
    hill was very weak.

That's actually quite promising for Thomas if he can finish 4th on a slope like that.

Tis true. I was kinda expecting him to lose a fair bit of time as well as the jersey today

Which is why he's attacking every time road points downhill

Didnt Ciro Scognamiglio say on the last Humans Invent postcast that one of the reasons he's riding P-N instead of T-A is that the latter's just too hard for him given where his form and condition are at the moment?

Certainly isnt going to worry Froome at the moment - but long way to go till Jul

We have just reached the top of the first of today's climbs, just around 50km into the stage. There is a 9 man breakaway which includes two of our EquipeBSE guys, Brice Feillu and Florian Guillou and they have 6' on the peloton.

    Didier TFR

Gap down to 2'30" with 75km to go.

Guttierez (MOV) called it quits earlier today.

The break and the peloton are on the second-category Cote de Gourdon, the last ascent on the day's menu (top with around 60km to go). The last gap is 2:20.

Same as the other stages; not much. Hard to believe the race is nearly over when it feels like it hasn't really got started.

Betancur got himself out of place there. Had to come from too far back and kept getting blocked.
