I don't see it as conceding victory, more a case of do not lose.0

Mourinho wont stay anywhere where its not all about him. As soon as one of his teams is successful and the club and the players attract more attention than him he's off. Its always got to be about him! that's why he didn't stay at Real, basically to big a battle of Egos with the Galacticos.
Its never going to be too difficult to prove you are more cultured and savvy than the likes of Terry and Cahill.0 -

Might explain Wenger's longevity at Arsenal.0 -

+1
The problem at Real was the fact that it is the richest and most successful club in the world and the RM board will spit you out in seconds knowing that there is almost no manager on this planet that would turn the job down if offered and Mourinho was never going to be bigger than RM. Both the Barca and Real jobs are very high pressured, even for JM. Gaurdiola (4 years) and Rijkaard (5 years) had relatively long spells at Barca for example. Mourinho's 3 years was actually a decent spell at RM for a manager:

I would imagine 3 years was his contract length, during which time he won a league title (in a 2 horse league) a cup and super cup. Cant imagine what his budget was but reckon most managers could have got similar results in La Liga.
I respect him for Porto's CL victory, but considering the finances at his disposal since, not much else.

So do you take to going unshaven, leaning up against the fridge, hands in the pockets of your wrinkly unkempt rain coat mumbling platitudes just to get her...well you know?seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -

On Sunday I will mostly be supporting Ma......, come on Uni......., no sorry I can't do it!
I just hope Chelsea lose in their match against the small unfashionable club they happen to be playing this Sunday!Statistically, 6 out of 7 dwarves are not happy.0 -

Anyway, I'm going to be busy blowing bubbles this afternoon. After what Stoke managed earlier this season, a spot of 19th century football might just do the trick"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -

8 at the back, one in the middle and 1 up front at the halfway line. They used to get in a huddle with the ball at their feet and walk it down the pitch - that would be a good tactic.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
WHam bam, thank you Sam
Must keep on supporting small unfashionable clubs each week, works a treat :P"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
How depressing. We have struggled against the bus parkers this season :evil:Statistically, 6 out of 7 dwarves are not happy.0

In another moral dilemma, are you supporting Stoke to beat Southampton and stop the Saints going above you? :P"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -

TBF West Ham played ok and had more of a go than the likes of Stoke and.......
City only started playing in the last 20 minutes and that's not good enough. They got what they deserved today. What frustrates me is its same problems time and again. They simply don't learn. Ah well, at least it's not York City :?Statistically, 6 out of 7 dwarves are not happy.0 -
Southampton have gone now second - actually not good news for us as we had a chance to open up an 8 point gap this weekend and now it'll be at best 6. Looks like I have a dilemma for my small team to support for next weekend: will it be Hull or Manure ?
Although it's not all bad news for everyone on this thread - The Ar$e actually won and Liverpool somehow kept a clean sheet "I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
I luv West Ham! that's all I have to say..0

Ho hum. Still, another point further ahead of certain teams..."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0

Yes it's always a bit disappointing conceding that late, but as we say down at the Bridge. Some you win, some you draw.0

I'll just be happy to beat them. They have an annoying tendency of playing out of their skins when they face us, it being the biggest game of their season. And I believe it's the Manchester derby next week so there's points to be gained on one or both of them.0

Apparently the travelling Chelsea fans were singing 'We'll race you back to London' to the Manure fans this afternoon
Good news about the Manc Derby - not sure which small struggling North West team to support?"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0
