Mind you, if the info is from Talksport then I'd expect them to be showing a lack of understanding for the game.
I'd bet some of them played at a much higher level than you.
Aah but... Verylonglegs could get from one end of the pitch to the other in less than 10 strides, not a lot of players can do that.
I was called Carlton Palmer on a few occasions due to my ungraceful gangly long legged movements around the pitch0 -
To get all serious I have the say the bit about stripping out Harry Kane's goals is nonsense, suggesting that increasing the lead in a game doesn't matter. If you are under the cosh clinging on to a 1-0 lead then someone taking a chance in a counter-attack to make it 2-0 changes the dynamic of the match considerably, it releases the pressure and alters the way both teams play. Likewise going in 2-0 up at halftime rather than 1-0. Mind you, if the info is from Talksport then I'd expect them to be showing a lack of understanding for the game.
well duh!!!!
it was just a bit of fun! don't get your very long knickers in a twist!
I know it was just fun on your part, hence why I started with the bit about getting serious. My ire was mainly with Talksport as they spout that stuff knowning full well at lot of knuckle dragging fans really feed on it and take it seriously.
In talksport's defense it was someone phoning in that said it and they were clearly joking.www.conjunctivitis.com - a site for sore eyes0 -

He must be bewildered after that. Prior to the game whilst they weren't very attacking they at least had one of the meanest defences in the division. They finally find the net a few times and the defence ships 3 too. Wonder how cautious he'll be against the scousers at the weekend.0

He's learning the trade.

9 minutes of added time?
Nice of them to give an unfashionable lower team a chance to equalise. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -

If we cut out the stupid over long goal celebrations and learned to defend as a team rather than a back line we wouldn't need anyone's sympathy. Still see it as two points dropped rather than one point gained which is a huge indication of the direction both teams appear to be going in.
Well done to those ex blues Rooney and Fellani earlier today0 -
Some numbers for today (i know you all love them!)
the top 4 are 11 points worse off than the top 4 were at this point last season (by position, not teams)
but 4th spot is only 1 point worse off, people are saying a number of teams could get 4th but looks like they'll need as many points as normal.
the top half are collectively 21 points worse off but the bottom half are 18 points better off (ignoring villa 11 to 19 are 23 points better off) - so the worse teams are beating the top teams more often this season.
17th place is 2 points higher so maybe the 40 point mark might actually be needed this year (it is usually a bit lower)
and one just for stevo, Chelsea have less than half the points they had last season and are 27 points worse off!!www.conjunctivitis.com - a site for sore eyes0 -
We've won pretty much everything there is to win* so its good to have a season off and let the wannabes have a go

Oh but we have. Only when we won it it was not the "forerunner to the CL" Ah it never gets old. "forerunner to the CL" As it happens we are the only English side to win all three major European trophies. Ajax, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Chelsea. The illustrious quartet.0 -

So what you are saying is that apart from those 4 teams, the rest of them are European trophy dodgers?"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -

Seem to recall that was the Toffees undoing down at Dean Court, with the same scoreline as the result.Always be yourself, unless you can be Aaron Rodgers....Then always be Aaron Rodgers.0 -
