  • Literally one decent long ride through local woods. I use my carbon for trail centres & big stuff. I do know it's much more forgiving than the carbon though. I'm sure it will be even better with better & longer forks. How do you rate it on the climbs? It's not as heavy as I was expecting!
  • Found some nice looking bars & stem in the treasure chest.

    Get a blackspire, found it very durable.
    Indeed it feels very light and it climbs better than my ghost asx and my buds scott genius 50 in any suspension mode. Is quite comparable with a common hardtail. But pointed down hill... lord I wish the descends to last some more :mrgreen:

    So I bit the bullet and bought this.....

    First proper mtb after a few cx adventures and lots of road miles. Enjoying the learning curve and totally different style of efforts on the bike. Hoping to get to Gorrick with it and not embbarress myself too much soon :D

    That's certainly an aggressive saddle to bar drop :wink:

    That Scott looks brilliant and the negative stem angle + flat bar and bar ends make it look like fookin fast.

    Got some silly 2.5 wire DH tyres on her atm, need to get something more suitable as they weigh a tonne, but it rolls at least!

    It flies sure enough, way beyond my skills to be fair! Needs the forks setting up and some grippy tyres otherwise it is brilliant, I love it. Have dropped the saddle a bit from the last guy but it still gave me a right bruising last weekend :mrgreen:

    There have been a few changes since that was taken, a 2.4" chunky monkey for the front, and wider bars/shorter stem. It's not the fanciest, but I love it.

    Good to hear I'm not the only one that likes it, the colours are a bit marmite! Haven't fitted them yet, I hope it's not too snappy! I can always trim the bars down... I forgot to mention that the bars were only £15!!! Your 456 is looking good by the way, the colours kind of work!
