Here is mine. The 1x9 setup is working brilliantly. Still having teething troubles with the tubeless setup but I will get there... Now running with kinesis crosslight wheels rather than those pictured.

They doo look best in green. Is that hydraulic 105? How is it?

Yep hydraulic 105. So far it's been flawless. Utterly unnecessary for normal road riding but brilliant once you hit the muddy stuff. Pretty easy to set up from scratch as well. Very happy so far.

Where did you get the hydraulic 105 from? I didn't think it was out until October. Looks like the RS685 to me.

Yep beg your pardon it is RS685. The rest of the groupset is 105. I bought it all together and think of it as a '105 bike'.

Looks odd to see my bike without rack and guards and with the overlong front brake outer. As it's a fixed length between bars and calliper I cut 2" off mine, might do similar to front mech outer when I've finished PXLR build.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Here's my upgraded Jamis nova. Swapped all of the running gear - SRAM force shifters/front mech, SRAM apex chainset and rear dérailleur and 12-30 cassette. Brakes have been upgraded to trp HyRd. The steerer tube is stupidly long so at some point I'll trim it down. Not sure I'm happy with the set up yet. May need to flip the stem. I'm deliberately trying for a more upright position than my road bike so we'll see! Rides nicely though :)

Only thing left to get is mudguards for commuting.

Here’s my new 2015 Genesis CdF 10, which I received two weeks ago as an insurance replacement for my beloved Cube Hyde Race which was stolen at the end of July.

I’m a mountain biker at heart and have never had a bike with curly wurly bars before so thought I’d give one a try just for something a bit different! Was scary as fook to begin with but I’m getting used to it now. Still need to take it properly off road but it’s handled everything I’ve thrown at it so far.

Totally stock at the moment apart from a Madison Faux-Spoon saddle and horrible Welgo pedals. Upgrades in the coming months will be Shimano CX50 cranks, SuperStar Nano pedals (clips be damned!) and Easton bars, stem and post. I’ll probably upgrade the groupset over time too, but will wait until parts wear or fail first. I may replace the wheels after winter too.

I’ve destickered the rims since I took the photo, looks much better :)

Quick and nasty photo of my caadx cross bike, new groupset fitted, 1x10, sram force and rival, with x9 rear, hope retainer ring, wtbi19 on novatec hubs, and some ultralight rotors, which I can't recommend! Comes in at about 8.5kg

Changed the tyres to Schwalbe Cx comp, Shimano spd pedals and moved the seat up as it was too low.
Bright blue pedals were temporary while waiting for my new ones.
  • The weirdest thing happened a couple of weeks ago. I went into a bike shop with the idea of exploring options for a new commuter bike. I went into a trance and came out with this.

My very rough and ready Kinesis Pro 5 in commuting mode. It's seen a lot of use over the years but I love it.
