    Break with 8 minutes.

Love the GPS dots on the race route

In spite of Cav driving it so hard that Gilbert and Sagan will soon be shelled out the back!?! The breakaway riders must be superhuman.

Does anyone know the predicted race finish time please?

What were the lap times for earlier races this weekend?

    Thank you
  • So much for my plan to have the women's race on during the huiswarming. Vos' masterclass got replaced by Pingu.

So much for getting up early and going for a ride before stuff kicked off today. My head hurts, the only cycling happening today is on my telly.

There's a lovely topiary Pinocchio in the square in Fiesole. The weather is playing havoc with the pictures.

Ooo they just showed where I used to work.

My desktop has suddenly got a tinted yellow screen and the nexus 10 doesn't support flash (Why Google, why!)
Firefox will support flash on a nexus, or better, the BBC Sport app shows the live feed (no flash required).

Wiggans was in rear of a peleton split on descent. Sounds familiarly ominous.

Is Ant McCrossan commentating in Europe? He is on Eurosport in Asia... its killing me to have to listen to such a horrific voice for such an important race. :(

Gap between leaders and peleton is now 7.36. Gone up almost one and a half minutes in the last 15 Kms.

  • I should think Cav is looking forward to climbing off once things get pointy and warming up and drying off in the bus. It is absolutely bucketing down.

  • I'm expecting him to swing off back to his house which must be nearby.

Incredible weather. Yesterday had some interesting corners in the dry. Wouldn't fancy them today if it comes to a flat out chase.

    Cobbles now - even worse.
  • The Sporza guys either have more sensitive microphones or their commentary box is badly soundproofed because you can hear the rain on their commentary but not on NOS'. Just goes to show NOS is always boring, Sporza's where the party's at. :D

  • Cancellara didnt name Sagan as favourite which is interesting and bases it on him not riding the Vuelta. Been a long time since a non-Vuelta starter won.

Fabu also said of Pozzato: "I dont even know what he could do. If I was him I wouldn't even turn up."

Back now - well a jittery version

I had that as well, was beginning to think it was my laptop playing up.
  • Gilbert names Sagan as his favorite. "He can climb, he can sprint..."

Thanks for this! Didnt realise I could get sporza on ziggo!
  • The peloton hits the circuit and Sky hit the front!
