I'm fully expecting Chris Horner to beat Cancellara's time by ~5 seconds.

Hardly going to send shock waves in the peloton.
  • Where has Wouter been since last year's Paris Nice ... That's when the unbelievable riding started ... Oh wait, rides for a British team ... Sucking certainly a verb rather than noun for this dude ...

Get back in yer box ...

    Oh shut up you

Right. Kirby's annoying me as usual. "Nibali's not a bad time trialler" "Konig's not bad at this kind of thing"

    He really knows toot

Kiri not showing the jungle juice that made him take bronze in the Worlds last year...

On a second thought and after a certain reply posted..

Wouter has a huge influnce in the peloton and his comment will send shock waves in the peloton.

    Amusing... :)
  • Forgetting Kirby's drivel, Sean Kelly is actually quite funny..
  • At the first check, Cancellara was actually 11secs up on Martin. Error by the organisers.

Would Canc have known the correct timings?

I wonder did he know that or did he think he was behind.

...or maybe if your heart is beating out of your chest, that information is of no use whatsoever :?

  • Yeah not so sure if Cancellara is one of those that like to be kept informed as they go or not.

I don't know if they even pay attention to time checks these days. They have their own schedule to ride to and focus on that If they could go quicker, they should do it regardless of what anyone else is doing.

Cancellara should now announce he's NOT going to do World's TT and make the rest of TM's season really tedious - he'll have to constantly field the "what would Cancellara have done?" question...

Then he should send Tony a postcard every week of himself on his TT bike looking over his shoulder behind him to the camera with a wink and his thumb up. And drinking a cocktail.
  • Lol, according to the organisers Pozzovivo has the 2nd fastest time at the 11km mark, only 5 secs off!

Lol indeed... think the organisers might have a problem with that first check point?

    Or he's uncovered Horner's stash!
  • Henao got pumped for 5mins.

Clearly deux vitesses amoung the Sky team.

  • As Astana is a member of the MPCC, Nibali has been unable to treat the wasp sting with cortisone, and so he is apparently in some discomfort

He has a swollen forehead too so the aero helmet must be causing some discomfort.

    Yeah. Clearly.

It'll be interesting to see if the times of Cancellara and Martin don't slip down the board.

    Has anyone seen the route

I'm not sure why Cancellara's main aim is the World's Road Race. I know he has a chance of it but over such a hilly course he won't be the favourite will he? And that's without all the other tactics and misfortunes that could work against him. I guess it's the one biggy he's capable of winning but has not managed so far and he has several TT titles under his belt.
  • Pozzo up on Fabu at the top.

  • Horner 42secs down at 11ks
