I'd have made them ride back to Poland in a single stage. They'll be taking their own mattresses everywhere with them soon to get a good nights sleep.....

So according to Carlton, who is a god in this household, bradders has been working for Henao who is second overall. Makes a bit more sense now...

Renshaw messed that up - had two Belkin riders for the lead-out, and still started the sprint too early. Gave Thor a nice lead-out; what he's good at.

    1. Thor
    2. Steele
    3. Renshaw

It still can't be right unless there was a massive crash that we didn't see?

I'm just going to wait for the website again.

bonus points today presumably will have gone to the riders in the breakaway given they were out from like 20k to the last 1k

Best to just watch the pretty scenery, listen to uncle Carlton and not worry too much about irrelevancies like who is winning and losing ... Lucky I'm out of my head on painkillers then!

That seemed a particularly poor finish line position. They appeared to come around a tight bend and the line was only about 50m away. This race bugs me every year, it has the potential to be a really good race with some testing terrain and decent scenery but they chuck in rubbish finish circuits and poorly thought out finish positions. Add to that the terrible TV coverage and they are ruining what should be one of the better 'non traditional' stage races.

Bit of a missed opportunity really. They also have the advantage of being right after the TdF when peoples interest is piqued and they may consider catching the next race on the goggle box. The sort of marketing money can't buy.

In keeping with the extremely varied times of this event so far, today's coverage is back to starting about 2:30 bst

Gotta agree. What with the stupid bonus secs thing - what the fark is the point in giving points for ''attractivity' - terrible coverage from the host broadcaster for whom timings appear to be negotiable;' 240k stage ending in a crit - rinse and repeat'...I just cant get up any enthusiasm for this race whatsoever

Looking forward to Sunday's London Classic a lot more

They ought to go the whole hog and have Panache Points where an expert panel of judges award bonus seconds for heavyweight attacks, style on the bike, co-ordination of kit and being clean shaven. Any rider using team mates to set the pace or attacking to win a stage in the last km on a hill finish will be docked points and receive a time penalty.

Would you like to be President of the UCI? I believe the Tonga's Cycling Federation might back your candidacy
