First time I did the Marmotte I found a soreen malt loaf about 2/3s of the way up. Unopened. I have never been more grateful.

    Bonus indeed, what flavour?

The first km's of racing are usually always some of the most exciting while the break forms, I can understand why we don't see it very often because showing the whole stage takes a lot of airtime and there's often a lot of boring stuff in the middle, but perhaps they could show the first 10-20km of a stage as highlights at the beginning of the usual coverage when we've got 120km to go.

He was in a mini break. Then he got dropped.

    Not really.

He has amazing powers of recovery though as we know. Red-zone efforts have no affect on him.

He probably did a facepalm when Cadel went out the back.

Strong French presence in the breakaway. I'd love Chavanel to get the win. Probably a bit of a big ask though eh?

My comment still stands, a few members thought Evans was going to genuinely contest the stage win!

You did watch the 2011 Giro, right? And the 2007 Tour. And the 2009 Tour.

Quintana smiles and does the universal hand signal for 'can we go to the surface please'. Looks comfortable.

Froome and Rogers scheming. What was said? There was a thumbs up from Froome.

Now Porte and a Movistar scheming?

Oooo to know what they are saying...

please please be a good spoilers thread today. I am sat in maternity assessment waiting room surrounded by hunners of short tempered, over heated, expectant, Glaswegian wimmen, their mothers, their weans and bloody Radio Clyde 2 playing Charles & Eddie's classic "Look into my eyes"

entertain me and inform me please please please.

I feel your pain  . Rather you than me on a day like today (weather and today's stage). Let us know if any fights break out, men, weans or even (maybe more likely) the tired, hot, frazzled women :D .

With the amount of climbing they are taking on I would think so, but always good to see him in the break.

If he stays there until the feed zone my fantasy team gets points!

Also, why does he have a different coloured bike? its good for identification.

He was given it as a birthday present. I assume orange is his favourite colour...

No motorbikes on the descent of the sarenne so all TV pics will come from the helicopters.
