Just spoke to the parents in law. They left Grenoble at 7am and have just arrived at ADH via Oz. It is "swarming" with huge queues to get the lift down to Huez.
Ecologists have threatened to block the Sarenne for 10 minutes after the lead rider goes through.
I'm on holiday in Oz the week after next. I expect it will be a little sleepier than today!0 -
please please be a good spoilers thread today. I am sat in maternity assessment waiting room surrounded by hunners of short tempered, over heated, expectant, Glaswegian wimmen, their mothers, their weans and bloody Radio Clyde 2 playing Charles & Eddie's classic "Look into my eyes"
entertain me and inform me please please please.0 -
Yass!
Meeting cancelled and I'm gonna be home by one!"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

I think it was you who asked if the bends 21 and 19 on the Alpe were still named after Armstrong. I can confirm that they are. I took a look on the way down in the car last week. I didn't have much chance on the way up. If I had stopped then I wouldn't have got much further.
If it wasn't you who asked no worries.
Hope all is well in maternity.0 -

Dear Greenedge Bus, please can you park yourself under the finish line today, BEFORE we pass for the first time. Much appreciated. David

Ooops David needs to read his road book. 1st lap they follow the Marmotte route past sports centre and airport. only go up to finishing straight at the very end.0 -

I'm hoping for a tongue in cheek interview later where Dave says he would have won but he didn't know where the line was."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"
