I think ITT needs to get binned, or at least have only 1 per Tour.

Without TT's you'd have a bunch of riders just cruising until the last day of mountains to finally do something. They are essential for a good GT. That said, I'm not the biggest fan either.

I think ATCs colleagues need to be informed about all these cyclists cruising the mountains. They're in the wrong place in the Low Countries.

Unless the lightest mountain goat can also produce more power than the other guys as well. I never understood how Armstrong managed to climb like that and do well in the time trial either
Same way Merkx, Hinault, Indurain, Vino ect..could. ofcourse the wacky backy helps but theyre all pretty good to begin with...

Oh dear god what with this and talk of donkey porn on the other thread that will not be named.

This lot are in the UK as it is. It all apparently started over an argument about whether Mark Cavendish [/b]is 'fit' in the aesthetic sense. I now feel like Morpheus and I have given them the red pill. Where will it all end? Where? I'm going back to reading about passports (real ones, not blood ones).

He is quite handsome but incredibly tiny. It would be like trying to sh@g an Action Man...just sayin again.

He's got nice eyes, Cavendish, not Action Man, Action Man has weird eyes, especially that one where you could move his eyes with the lever at the back of his head. But I can almost look some of these guys square in the eye and I am miniscule, so I don't think Cav's height would bother them.

Update: OH DEAR GOD, they've discovered Pozzato. I've just been emailed THAT picture, the one with the shoes.

I don't need an excuse. But no it is genuinely true. I was trying to have a quiet morning and then I got dragged into some homo-erotic discussions about whether Tom Boonen's six pack off-sets his weird ears with a bunch of people that two hours earlier didn't know who the hell Tom Boonen is and one of them is Belgian!

For what it's worth, after yesterday's stage when we saw rather a lot of it, Titchy Richie has a great arse.

And to get back to the topic at hand, the current top 6:

    1.WESTRA L. VCD in 54' 02''
    2.ROY J. FDJ in 55' 00'' at 0' 58''
    3.SICARD R. EUS in 55' 01'' at 0' 59''
    4.O'GRADY S. OGE in 55' 24'' at 1' 22''
    5.KITTEL M. ARG in 55' 50'' at 1' 48''
    6.HIVERT J. SOJ in 55' 56'' at 1' 54''

Since there's so much chit-chat at this stage of the stage, I'm starting another one-day game as follows:

Who's having a rubbish Tour so far this year? Any definition of rubbish will do.

    1. Evans (nothin happening)
    2. Cav (only 2 stages)
    3. Greipel (only 1 stage)

    12:56 Martin: 22" behind Westra at 6.5km

Tony Martin (OPQ) has reached the first time check 22" behind the time set by Westra. The winner of stage 11 is in fifth place at the 6.5km mark.

Thinking about it, I reckon Contador might get some time on Froome in this stage. If the weather forecast is right it's going to absolutely sh*t it down towards the end of the day. The biggest threat to Froome's yellow jersey is wrapping himself round a tree. For Bertie, on the other hand, it's yellow or bust. I reckon his TT will be worth watching today.

By way of an aside, the first Tour I really took interest in was 1979. There was a proloque plus FOUR individual TTs and TWO teamTTs (one was 87k the other 90!!!!).
Hinault won all the TTs, a mountain stage and a flat stage. We'd have had 200pages for each stage on this forum!

Out of that list, i'd have to say Evans as the others have a stage and 2. But i wouldn't have expected Evans to do well after the Giro so he must be doing the best rubbish out of that list which means it's Cav being rubbish as he must have thought every sprint was his to win so it must be Binman Grepel who's capable of beating both Cav and Evans in a sprint is there any more coffee?
