Just looked on BetFair, the odds are utter crap on the favourites so I'll keep my money. I suspect Cavendish will destroy everyone today.

got 67-1 on Matt Goss last night
£3 ew nets me c£250 for the win or £52 for 2nd/3rd

appreciate this is definitely a punt but he wa right up there in the last sprint and got caught behind the veelers crash and for a man of that class 67-1 sounds worth it

Didn't you get the memo? Goss is the new Tyler don't you know.

No need for another image on that one, ta.

Yep, my eyes are still recovering from the earlier shocker.

I thought about it, but I just couldn't see Cav, Greipel, Kittel and Sagan all going down in the same crash. I really don't know what has happened to Goss, he was stupidly fast, but he just doesn't seem to have that last little bit of 'Oomph!' now.

What was their reason for not inviting him in 2007-12?
Something that hasn't happened before won't happen again.

It's like Antoine Vayer saying he would turn down a place in the Royal Society - wasn't going to happen anyway.

They haven't invited me either. Same reason - I'd bring everyone down on the first bend.
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.

His invitation was withdrawn apparently. So it suggests he was invited in 2013 only to have that invitation withdrawn after stage 10.

The former rider Twan Poels, a member of the Boxmeer organising committee, is reported to have said: "We may be looking for a sprinter, but Cavendish is not that. I have seen the TV images of the sprint together with the board and I decided to take him off the list.

"Simply put, we find his actions not very good. The jury may think he is not responsible for the fall of Tom Veelers – we absolutely believe otherwise."

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2013/jul/11/mark-cavendish-veelers-tour-de-france

Volksrant not reproducing the quote from Twan Poels but it does say that the organisers condemn the actions of Cavendish.

"De organisatie van het criterium van Boxmeer veroordeelt de actie van Cavendish"

    http://www.volkskrant.nl/vk/nl/6504/Tour-de-France/article/detail/3473975/2013/07/11/Boxmeer-veroordeelt-actie-Cavendish-Brit-niet-welkom-in-criterium.dhtml

    Same in De Telegraf

    http://www.telegraaf.nl/telesport/tour-de-france-2013/21723416/__Boxmeer_weert_Cavendish__.html

Quite frankly it all seems a sad attempt at publicity by the Boxmeer organising committee.

Not messing about today. You can see the anti-attack drone holding station over his right shoulder.

talking of the anti-attack drone, I was watching a bit of the highlights with Froome and the other riders at the press conference and i thought, Pete Kennaugh is really beautiful. He seemed to be wearing eyeliner but maybe its natural.

Greipel is wearing a skinsuit today and has just changed his helmet for a more aero one.

Someone wants the stage pretty badly.

I'd like people to pay to watch me play squash and five-a-side football... well, actually, I might settle for just one non-paying spectator.

I want people to pay me to not watch me not play squash or five a side football. Currently most of the world is receiving this service completely free, which is just wrong. I must be able to monetize it.
