Don't really want to get dragged into this rubbish, but who is the "woman at the petrol station"?

Wiggo went into a petrol station and said he wanted a crunchie for himself and a Wispa for his training mate outside. But then he motioned to his mate outside that he was going to eat the Wispa as well after he'd eaten his Crunchie. However he tried to eat the Crunchie too quickly and started to choke on it. The woman patted his back .to help him but he said watch the fkin Ben Shermans and threw the Wispa at the wall

There is no conspiracy here. When someone of his calibre can't hold his teams wheel on the flat he is clearly ill, right decision to go home.

As for the tour, froome will lead and wiggins will stay as high up the gc as he can. People saying his descending has been exposed - well I think it was another director who said that froome is even worse at descending than wiggo normally - you are also forgetting he had no problem keeping with the likes of nibali in the 2012 tour.

I think sky still have worries about froome. In wiggos book what you clearly see is he follows the team plan but froome does whatever he wants even disregarding team orders on the road. Wiggins I think is really missing yates and Sutton who gave him that edge. The team will work for froome but the by product is as with froome they won't expect wiggo to burn his own chances. That way if froome pops, has a bad day, gets ill or crashes out they may just have a credible plan b and c (given Porte will be there) should they need it.

Don't get why anyone thinks that's anything but a strong position to be in bar the obvious mental instability of froome, and perhaps wiggins at times.

Replace Wispa with Aero and you get closer to the truth. And it was a flake, not a crunchie. Otherwise, great post 8)

Much more interesting than the mundane reality of a winter training crash outside a petrol station in bleak Northern England.

This came from the Sky website. I knew something was up in regards to Brad. Appears the Italians are up to something.

Looks like Wiggins will be good for the Tournif he gets the numbers right.

"Sources close to Sky training staff have confirmed that Wiggin's power meter analysis before the race showed his FTP (functional threshold power) and power to weight ratio were better than ever. One coach told our source, "We are not sure yet if there is a problem with the power meter data analysis software which should estimate FTP to + / - 0.5% or if it is a power meter calibration problem. Brad is adamant that the power meters he is using in the Giro this year are giving him lower numbers for a perceived effort than he was getting all year in training. In fact we know his heart rate is higher at certain wattages in the race than it was in training but we know heart rate is irrelevant so we are not worried about this. We noticed that when the climbs get steep his cadence is lower than in training, but we know cadence is a red herring and we just look at the power numbers. We talked to Brad about his calibration methods and he has assured us he has been doing things by the book, but then he also said he left it to Steven de Jongh, Bobby Julich or Sean Yates to sort out his power meters until this year and when we asked him which book he was using he said he was using the same book as a weight as last year. We have tried putting the data through some new software and comparing that to the old software and we have found that the new software is a bit different to the old but only by a few watts. We have sent a whole load of data off to Dr Andrew Coggan, the leading expert in this field, and are hopeful he will be able to explain what has been going on. We told him about Brad's higher heart rate at over 400 watts in the race than he was getting in training but Coggan told us heart rate was of no use if you are training with power. We also think some of the other teams might be using some sort of device which throws the SRM data off. Brad says his power meter numbers get stuck whenever Nibali attacks. In fact Brad was looking at his power numbers which were a bit weird when he crashed the other day."

Kerrison says he believes Sky are the only professional team that offers dedicated one-to-one coaching to all its riders &**8211; they have four full-time coaches at present &**8211; and notes that other teams are looking to the British squad, whether it be warming down after stages, or sending whole detachments to train at altitude in Tenerife. "Everyone is now following our lead in things like warm-downs; more and more teams have coaching staff. I genuinely hope it's the start of a new era in cycling."

I'm hoping Kerrison recorded some of Wiggins powerstats when he was decending. There will be some valuable information in the data.

All year we've heard rumours about other teams trying to jam the SRM devices at team Sky. Porte has been talking about it.

Sky also offer one to one coaching. It's not been done before.

I'm beginning to lose a bit of faith in the anti-Sky cause. Despite 12 full months of practice and constant evolution, their arguments are easily dismantled by a "so what?"

    Have faith.

It's not until you realise that making yourself sick and then coming back you can reach a higher threshold power output.

Kerrison has being doing this with swimmers for years. Sky are the only team that can sacrifice a GT to execute this plan. They have the resources and money.

At the Tour you'll see Wiggins with a power output around 5% more than he had in Tenerife prior to the Giro.

I just hope the French don't jam the SRMs of Team Sky ProCycling.

Sky also have one to one coaching.

If other teams are aping Sky, I hope Sky start to have a bit of fun with this and say start hopping around at the end of stages whilst spreading the rumour that it helps remove lactic acid more efficiently, just to see how many teams copy them.

They could gradually try and do more and more ridiculous things whilst other teams scramble around and waste time and money trying to work out what they are doing.

Watching Chris Froome from 2011 Vuelta. That was his breakout race. Before he had won the Atomic Jock Race.

Sky may look to hire Cobo. He finished ahead of Froomey so if Kerrison can analyse his cadence it could give Cobo another 10-40w top end.

Wiggins and Froome could use another super Dom in the team. Cobo would be an excellent choice.

Cobo wi an SRM meter would be out of control! Fingers crossed Sky make an offer.

I think the best thing is if Brad gets back to Tenerife.

The Giro is a bit of a joke. Some of the stages were rigged towards the Italians.

Brads numbers are good. In the Tour that should prove to everyone why he won the most exciting Tour in years in 2012.

Hopefully the 2013 Tour will be an "edge of the seat, nail biting" viewing experience like last year.

Sky play poker. They keep their sources and secrets close to their chest.

They don't want the opposition catching up to their revolutionary training techniques.

Kerrison is a mastermind in training. If the talk is true he maybe getting Ian Thorpe to slim down and become a GT rider.

They'll be using the Chris Froome model.

Froomey or Froomedawg as he's affectionately known once won the Atomic Jock Race. Now he has the chance to win the Tour de France with Team Sky Pro Cycling.

If Froomey wins it will show that anyone, no matter how ridiculous they look on a bike, can win the worlds biggest race.
