Nice one Vandiesel, looks the business.

I guess there are no compatibility issues with the Tiagra shifters? Is there any noticeable difference in shifting with the upgrade?

They are the 105 shifters and tbh changes do feel smoother. Ive researched the difference in up grade 105-Ultegra and the general feeling is 50-50, mine being the positive!

    Standard
    null-9.jpg

    First set of additions
    -Prologo scratch Ti 1.4 Saddle
    -Carbon anomatic handlebars
    -Ultegra brakes and front mech
-Just added a Richey WCS stem
    -Planet X wheelset

    null-10.jpg

The above has taken weight down to 7.6kg, just need to add the following and I'll be happy:
-Rotor 3D / Dura ace / Sram Red chainset
    -Uletgra rear mech and shifters
-Maybe a set of farsports 38mm clinchers

Ive always fancied changing over my rear derailleur to Ultegra, did you change this yourself or get your LBS to do the work?
If your LBS then how much did they charge?

    Cheers mate.

Thanks Van, if you like the shape of your current bars then take a look at the ones i upgraded to on my thread.
Deda zero 100, they are light and not overly expensive. Matching stem looks good also.
3T stuff also looks good though as in the above post.

Although i can can see you going full carbon.

    Thanks mate,
I'm eyeing up the FSA K wing jobbies and same stem, saw these on a bike on the LTB last weekend and sort of ... well loved them!

Virtually stock, apart from the DA c24s as seen in the pic, but with a new set of conti gp4000s put on within the last 300mi,and different bartape and a fizik arione cx saddle (also in black, but with a felt middle part which is nice and grippy on the shorts!)

Oh, and a k-edge chain catcher which works, and before they were sold in the UK. i had mine imported for a little bit more money than Wiggle are selling them for now :/

My 2012 Defy 2. So far it's done everything from commuting to Sportives, 1500 miles in 8 months.

It's just had a Charge Spoon saddle fitted to see if it improves on the stock saddle. For future upgrades I may end up changing the wheels, since the stock front weighs nearly 1kg by itself (though they are robust). Different bars and perhaps a shorter stem. 105 shifters might find their way on too.

I'm looking at n+1 though, got my eyes on a TCR SL 2... Help!!
