If there are 7 deadly sins - what are the 7 Lively sins.?

If the definition of lively is based on how quickly the sin makes you get up and exercise (usually via running) then the ones I've seen on my estate are:

    - shop lifting
    - burglary
    - pickpocketing
    - car jacking
    - drug dealing
    - joyriding
    - graffiti painting

Why do hairdressers wash hair they are about to cut off and throw away?
  • Presumably so they can make a clean sweep of the floor.

Which is the best brand?

    Does thought require language?

    What a fantastic question.

Although not sentient in the human sense of the word, observing my cat in her pursuit of a mouse, she applied thought when trying to catch it as it scuttled around the kitchen looking for havens and exits. As my cat does not speak, we can presume her thoughts did not require language. In the same vein, a Chimpanzee trying to eat ants which are buried in a hole applies thought to the solving problem but does not posses an intricate language.
If animals are capable of thought without the use of language, then surely humans are capable of it too. However, we would find it difficult to seperate the distinction between our thoughts without language and thought with language because language is intrinsically linked to the human pysche. So 'No' is the answer to your question IMO.
