To be fair, we've been having much better weather than the rest of the UK during most of the last fortnight.

Amused to see the prediction of the BBC Further Ahead forecast for 10 days out - either more of the same or a min of 9C with a high of 17C  Aye, right!

Why doesn't the longer range forecast just say something like "fook knows"? That would be just as accurate with refreshing honesty thrown in.
Will you be racing the Alfa in snow this year MRS?

Funny you should say that, Veronese - I saw pics from the owners' club track night at Knockhill on Friday evening and there was snow around the Armco. Plays havoc with the race tyres - I had a tyre delaminate a couple of years back and it was sent back to Yokohama to diagnose. They said it had overheated until I pointed out it was actually snowing at the time!

My first race this year is likely to be at Cadwell Park. Not doing too many Knockhill races this year. I have a starter motor to refit but I don't fancy being in the garage right now

I went out this morning with the intention of doing as many hill repeats as possible, froze my nuts off thanks to the ever present bitterly cold easterly we have, gusting 26mph :x

In fact on one loop I had a rider join me for a few hundred yards just to shelter from the sidewind - not nice, even more annoying was it's actually warmish out of the wind 11C in fact.

Still I was able to do 5 loops of my nearest longish climb before the cold and boredom set in, better yet i've bumped my avg climbing speed by almost 3 mph without anywhere near as much suffering.

There is still some drifted snow and cleared piles by the roadside up there but the roads are clear and dry. No reason that the track should be any different.
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

It hasn't stopped snowing yet. It's melting as fast as it falls now though.

Brands Hatch 2008 for the British Superbikes, the photo says it was taken in May!
